To be fair, I don't think that's what he meant. I don't think he meant "we should acknowledge the truth of white supremacy" meaning that whites are superior. I think he meant we should acknowledge that our nation in general and the music business in particular, for the sake of this discussion, has a well documented history of racism, and that historically whites have oppressed other races, notably for this discussion, blacks.

Seriously, let's all chill out here and get along. I don't think there are a lot of racist white people running around who listening to Prince and posting on this site. I just don't see that.

He might not have written clearly, but I think we should give each other the benefit of the doubt on some of this stuff.
