Prince and New Jack Swing All
We know P has dabbled with many genres, but out of interest, What do you think the most New Jack sounding song Prince has recorded is?
"I have a date with Lisa. Isn't that wonderful?"

yeah, definitely...
What about "Don't Say U Love Me" (Martika). It kinda has that early 90's new jack bobby brown style about it "I have a date with Lisa. Isn't that wonderful?"

I personally LOVE NJS Prince. NJS is my favourite genre of all time, besides funk and Prince.

His lame attemps at New Jack Swing could have been a worse idea than his hip hop

Don't Say U Love Me. It doesn't even sound like a Prince song to me, sounds more like a Teddy Riley production

Me too, I think some of his efforts in this genre have been pretty darn good... "I have a date with Lisa. Isn't that wonderful?"

"Superhero" from the Blankman soundtrack also comes to mind. "For those who know the number and don't call...Fuck all y'all"

Pretty much anything he did from 1990-1993, what he termed "gangsta glam" was basically just his take on new jack swing imo, it certainly wasn't any gangsta rap I've heard of lol (new jack swing itself was basically gangsta rap type beats mixed with r&b anyway)
Let's just all be glad Tony M's no longer on the scene ¡The Future Is Ours, If You Can Count! https://www.youtube.com/w...A_zTY0qWWk

Definetly Don't Say U Love Me. If that ain't NJS, then Teddy Riley ain't black,Yep,yep! __________________________________________________

I remember way back saying to my brother who was into New Jack Swing in a big way, that Prince could do any style of music. He totally trashed me, and said he could do Swingbeat. I had to retreat, until I picked up a boot called 'Yellow', which had Prince's version of 'Don't say U love me' on it.
My bro had to concede it, and I was completely blown away. He pretty much nailed the sound, and I secretly admit, I thought he couldn't do it!
In my opinion, that's pretty much it. Everything else named above ain't really New Jack Swing.
