Slash, Duff Mckagan, and Steven Adler have said they used to jam to Prince songs while waiting for Axl Rose to show up for rehearsal, and that Rocket Queen came up due to those jams.
Questlove and D`Angelo are big fams too.
La Roux, Beverly Knight. Footballer Rio Ferdinand.
In Portugal musicians: Pedro Abrunhosa ( recorded on Paisley Park with The HornHeadz and Ricky Peterson, and was produced by Tom Tucker), Rui Veloso and Paulo Gonzo ( who has said that Purple Rain is the perfect song) are big fans.

Tracy Morgan said he'd " swell his vagina lips"! Tracy and his boy got kicked out of Prince house and Tracy said he turned gay for about five seconds. He didn't want to leave and said Prince and his wife were at the door in their pajamas. This was in 2008 and it was 6 or 7 am. If true Bria has been spending nights with Prince for years. Prince has a wife Tracy? He did say he was drunk. A good lamp is the best police. *Ralph Waldo Emerson

Beside being a fan of Prince I really like the music of de American band Eels and singer Emiliani Torrini from Iceland. Great was my suprise when I found out that both Mark Everett (Eels) and Torrini are Prince fans! Somehow I must have picked up on that listening to their songs....

It could mean they are fans yes, but it could also mean that they just got free tickets from somewhere, and fancied a night out.

I'm guessing most of the artists, musicians and celebs appreciate Prince's work, not to mention skills as a player. I don't know if that qualifies being a Prince fan though. But I get the feeling that if anyone got the chance to jam with Prince they would get star struck no matter who they are.
Some of the people who have jammed with Prince:
- Stevie Wonder - Me'shell Ndegeocello - Alicia Keys - Lenny Kravitz - George Clinton - Carlos Santana - Maroon 5 (??) http://www.phoenixnewtime...nfluences/
Others who have spoken highly of Prince and/or have attended his gigs many times:
- Spike Lee - Tim Burton - Selma Hayek - Chris Rock - Jay Leno - D'Angelo - Maxwell - Black Eyed Peas - George Michael - Bono - Bjork - Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) - Slash - Tom Jones - Herbie Hancock - Eric Clapton - Matt Damon - Penelope Cruz - Ellen DeGeneres - Oprah Winfrey [Edited 7/20/10 8:39am]

I think that is why Prince always gave so many exclusive invitation only celeb jam sessions at his LA mansion all the time that the fans here criticized him for. Because he knew he had a big celebrity following and he gave many to accommodate them. At one point it was the in expecting thing for Prince to have a private party jam session at his mansion after a award show. I'm glad I was able to attend an afterparty he gave after The BET Awards. The year he per4rmed in 2006. The 3121 years. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

Bowie mentioned Prince in 1987 as "the best of the current crop" in black music (Rolling Stone issue 498 - April 23, 1987). Yikes, what has he done for you lately, Mr. Bowie!

Not sure if anybody remembers Dan Reed Network, a great american band from the late 80's/early 90's who mixed all different genres like Hard Rock, Funk, Rap, Pop, AOR, Power Ballads, they were/are big Prince fans especially the lead singer Dan Reed, their first self titled album has massive Prince influences, i recommend all Prince fans to check it out, lots of parts shoot out at you thats just like Prince, Get To You is an amazing funktastic song with a killer synth rith and of course Ritual
Also Darren Hayes former lead singer of Savage Garden(don't let that put you off his last two solo albums are classics) is a big Prince fan having covered live "I Wish U Heaven", its on his special edition of Spin and his last double album "This Delicate Thing We've Made" has two songs that sound just like Prince " Bombs Up In My Face" and "Me, Myself And I"
Darren has an amazing voice and can sing in falsetto just like Prince, check out "Sing to Me".

I remember her being interviewed after she performed. One of the first questions was who she admired. By coincidence, the interviewer received earlier that day a fresh promo-copy of the just-released Emancipation-album. Me'shell hadn't heard it yet and couldn't wait another minute to eagerly checking it on a portable cd-player. The interview stopped there
