I love owning an entire collection of albums.

21 dollars isn't very much for a lifetime of having the option to play it if U want 2.

I love "Planet Earth." cool

21?! That's waaaaay overpriced even for regular albums. As far as the album itself, it's a grower for me. My favorite Prince album since TRC.

However, that price boy. You got ripped on that end. However the albums really good so atleast you got someting out of it.

How in the world was it $21? That's nuts. I picked mine up on the US release day for, what, $13 at most?

Even LotusFlow3r is cheaper than that.

Planet Earth is solid. Most of the songs are very strong. Only "All The Midnights" and "Resolution" are a bit wishy-washy for me.

Why don't you wait until you listen to the album then you can tell us if it was a waste or not.

Holy crap, I just listened to Planet Earth and then 20Ten back-to-back, and these two albums are extremely similar to each other! omfg

The only real difference is the instruments being used--the prominent usage of the lynn drum and synth in 20Ten----but the songs sound as if they could have been cut from the same mold. Prince could easily embellish Planet Earth with the same instrumentation used in 20Ten and they'd be sister albums!!! lol

I ain't even shittin'

Planet Earth is one of my favourite recent Prince albums, much preferred to Musicology and 3121. It is more consistent, better production-wise, and a lot of my favorite songs from his recent catalog: Planet Earth, Guitar, The One U Wanna C, All the Midnights, Chelsea Rodgers, Lion of Judah, Resolution.

Ok, no wonder we're in an uproar. You're in Canada. In the US, it is $7 - $10 all of the time for PE.

£3 in one particular chain in the UK a while back.

£0.99p - £2-5 on ebay UK for a Daily Mail or a Planet Earth tour copy.

The problem is not the price (you've been ripped, BTW).

The problem is the album is a turd.

My condolences, especially for 21 bucks. My God.

This is probably my least favorite Prince album.

There's not an ounce of song writing to be found anywhere on it.

I never listen to it.

Errr.... you must have ordered it online and live in a foreign land or something. Otherwise, YOU could be telling US if it was worth paying four times what it costs in the used bins at Amoeba. lol Nah, seriously, I hope you dig it. I'd probably order it that way if it wasn't released in the states. It's my least favorite Prince release of the oughties, though. A lot of people really liked it. Always felt like leftovers from the previous couple albums tossed together to make another album to me.

I bought it for $9.99 brand new from Best Buy, but this was the week it came out (when it's typically $3-5 cheaper). Either way, $22 is VERY expensive for that CD . . . I think you might've gotten taken. I just checked and it's $9.99 on Amazon. Where do you live?

The CD itself has a few good tracks (SHOE, The One U Wanna C, Future Baby Mama, Chelsea Rodgers) but all-in-all it's among the bottom tier of Prince albums.

Amongst the albums of the last decade, it's still at the bottom.
