Brenda needs to snatch Prince and that doo rag off. They'd fall into her arms. I bet'cha by golly wow he would stop walking so far ahead.
Who's Brenda?
Why do some people call her Brenda? Is she really Brenda Fuentes who, according to an old thread, was a former stripper/model from Minnaepolis and Prince renamed her Bria Valente. See http://prince.org/msg/5/204249 post #14. I noticed that in other threads, mainly the associates thread, that she is referred to as Brenda also. |

I dig Prince's styling. It's unusually normal, still cool. He shouldn't have let Bria finger his hair though Love her new look too. She always looks like a big barbie doll.
A really nice picture. They looked good together in this pic. And I like the bangs too. One of Bria's best picture I have seen posted. He looks pretty comfortable here... maybe things are heating up between those 2. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack |

Not this one!
Besides being a couple years older than him and WAY too independent, I'm tall like she is and I'd always be afraid I was gonna hurt his fine little ass.

I'm digging his look. The doorag, the shirt, the hair, the sunglasses...Looks stylish and comfortable at the same time As with many artists I adore and respect, many times, it's not just the way they actually look on a given day. It's more about the way who they are to me. The way I feel about them makes them look amazing whatever they wear. I guess that's what being a superstar is all about. |

That's funny. I always thought Mani looked older than her stated age when she was with Prince.

1. Someone please tell Princey that this is not Auntie Roscoe's Head Beautician aka Kitchen shop. Please take that damn do rag off your head. You look freshly permed as it is and I'm sure your kitchens will stay in place, dear.
2. I don't know who that lady is, but Mayte Garcia called and said she wants her 1994 hairdo back. Thank you. |

It's not only the amount of product, but how it's applied. The dramatic/drag queen look is not subtly trying to enhance your natural features. For special occasions or on stage it's one thing, but to coat your poor skin in the shit every day isn't good. (I'm not saying this specifically about her, just in general btw...)
To me, it reflects on the person wearing it and says they aren't very comfortable in their own skin. I think most men in general, find heavy makeup unnecessary and sometimes even gross. There's women who won't even let their man see them without it nor go out of the house without putting the war paint on and to me that's sad. If someone doesn't love your naked face, fuck them.
As for whose business it is, that's really a moot question since we're on a discussion board talking about someone who has made her business our business.
How is her business our business? Are we family? Friends even?
Making the assumption that someone who likes heavy makeup is insecure is no different than making the assumption that someone who wants to be bare-faced just doesn't give a shit about how she looks.
In the end it's about personal taste and preference.
Too bad folk can't just accept and let folk just be. We always gotta talk some shit to lift our own damn selves.
[Edited 7/15/10 20:42pm]
You are correct. 'Bout all of that.
...and I still say he needs to take that Cousin Junebug head scarf off of his head. The chile looks like the pimp uncle at the family reunion barbecue, like he's about to make a run for the liquor store for some wine coolers...or dip out to play spades. There's always that one uncle who never listened when our grandmothers old us to never be caught outside with your headscarf or rollers in your hair...unless you were on the way to a wedding or funeral
