Prince supporting the stones Is there actually any footage that exists of prince supporting the stones when he was bottled of stage or even pics? Religion is for people who believe in Hell Spirituality is for people who have been there.

There is. There's an audio of the concert floating about. For obvious reasons, I can't say where you might find it, but it's out there.
If you do a search on here you should also find some interesting threads where people who were there posted about their memories of it. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

There is, as described above, audio circulating from what is reported to be the second of the two performances (11 October), but there is no footage. . [Edited 7/19/10 11:16am] ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

Just how big was the audience,
I don't know, but I have read the numbers were big - my guess is somewhere between 50,000 and 100,000 ? Prince 4Ever.

The venue capacity was 90.000
But Prince was performintg as support at 2pm, so there is no known attendance figure for his set.

Prob. photos, maybe local news footage if they had been there early. It's a given that there's prob. some photographs, and someone had long forgotten they shot an 8MM of Prince that day, just taking random home movies. But considering he would've been unknown by Stones fans, most of them were prob. tailgating while he was on, waiting for something more familiar.Odds are it was a crowd of a few thousand drunk and rowdy Stones fans.
Stones shows were still pretty big events. They still are, but they were still commercially popular on the radio and on TV, now they're the "old guard".
The Stones did shoot footage for a concert film, but I don't know if they did at that venue or not.
Pretty simple reason why Prince would've done it in the first place, large crowd, easy money, short set. But worth the cost of being humiliated by a bunch of San Bernadino rednecks yelling for Mick and Keith to play "Satisfaction"?
Stones opening acts - some have done well, some not so well.

My brother was there, he said it was pretty horrific, not Prince's set, just the way the big dumb biker idiots were not having any of it..too much booze/adrenaline and acid probably. My Brother dug the show though, big Prince fan. He says Prince was wearing the whole panties, gogo boots thing...wrong crowd apparently. "Its flier to B hungry than fat"
