Damn horrible...Prince, WHAT THE FUCK????

after planet earth i didnt think it was posible to get worse, even though there were songs i liked on PE. Well, he broke a record with 20TEN... i had my second listen and hate it even more.. my blood is boiling. Time to enter prince in the guinness book of records for the artist with the longest streak of really horrible, boring albums...come on, nursery rhymes without the rhymes?

I am so ashamed.. I woulndt dare play this for friends who i argue with regarding how creative and genius he is ...hahahaha...

Anyway I am and will always be a big fan ...been waiting more than a decade for that motherload of a killer album...i think he might just pull it off if he tries an all out guitar rock album... he never goes wrong on his hard guitar laden stuff...Please Prince... lotus flower had some sparks, left us craving for a full version...pick up the axe and kill kill kill!!!!

Never heard any complain for tracks like these listed below... fans have one thing in common when prince picks up the AXE, we all drool for more.

Sadly for you Prince is so much more than a guitar man. Gladly for me i like that fact but then, i've known this for nearly thirty years.

Guitar strong albums - Chaos & Disorder, The Gold Experience

Piano album - One Nite Alone

Acoustic - The Truth (which is all guitar)

It seems that the general consensus on the Org is that folks like 20Ten, although there's never going to be 100% on something. I'd venture to say it's a strong 85% on here in favor of 20Ten, though. So perhaps you're in the minority on your hatred.

this has nothing to do with hatred...i am a fan who finds him BORING for better part of a decade...BUT still here anticipating a great release... i am not in denial like some on here... i say it like i see it...you like what you like, THATS ALL GOOD FOR YOU...i am free to express my disappointment.

The Albums you LISTED I agree with you on.. i mentioned in my post that this is where most fans tend so see eye to eye WHEN HE PICKS UP HIS GUITAR.

If someone HONESTLY express how they feel about releases they think is horrible, that makes them OVERLY DRAMATIC & A HATER?

No one called you a hater. I said your hatred of the album is in the minority from what I've seen on the Org.

Listen, you're preaching to the choir on the hater thing. I got haters all over this board because people refuse to see a bigger picture, or even try to understand what I talk about. So they're dismissive of my posts, and think I hate Prince. (Actually I have more people sending me emails saying they love my posts than anyone in public who says they hate it)

No I don't hate Prince. Who I can't stand is someone like Justin Beiber. But I'm not on his fan forums talking smack. I'm on prince.org posting what is hopefully thoughtful threads and replies about Prince and his career.

I feel your angst though, brother. I am not a big fan of his output in the past 10 years. Since The Rainbow Children, I find him very uninspired, bland, preachy, self-editing to the point of musical sterilization, and lyrical castration. There are a few good ones here and there, but overall, not nearly as excited as I was in the 80's, and 90's.

I'm reserving my judgment of 20Ten for my radio show on July 22. But I have been listening to it once a day, at least, to absorb it fully so I have a better reaction.

So calm down. No one said Prince is a god of any sort, nor should they. It seems the past 10 years are a lot more controversial than any other 10 year period, and not because of anything he's doing musically, but rather the music is overshadowed by religion, taunting, legalities, and the music that surfaces through all that seems to be Prince on auto-pilot. All that stands as the ongoing debate. Maybe the 10's will be something fresh again. We had a peak in the middle of each decade, except the 00's. I hope for one in the 10's. We cool.

How bout' 4 the longest "Kiss My Azzin'" he can do? Huh? What about that record pal.
