Wow...who knew? I'm sure a lot of you did but I've never seen it mentioned in Prince backward masking threads like end of "Darling Nikki" or "Girl"...but how many have noticed that Prince's beginning vocals to "For You" are actually the reversed melody he sings at :40???

I was listening to "For You" and noticed that the beginning vocals to the song just sounded a bit "weird" like Prince would have had to really try to make such a strange vocal that precise. I used Audacity to reverse it and lo and behold it's the melody Prince sings at :40!!

Out of all the backward masking songs or basically just songs played in reverse or in all my 30 years of listening to Prince not once did I ever think that this song had any kind of "gimmick" to it....

So cool to still be "discovering" Prince after all these years!
