I'm trying to compile a list of songs that has a C&W feel to them. So far, I only got:

Purple Rain - According to Dr.Fink, the song was influenced by a rock/C&W artist in the early 80s. Can't remember his name at the moment.

I really dig this compilation. Songs that you would never think could be "country" are done pretty well here. Take Me With U is a treat.

Replace Prince's singing with a twangy Garth Brooks type vocal and youve got a straight up country song.

I liked some of it, esp "Take Me With U".

For some reason though, David Lynch's movies came to mind when I heard those samples I wish I could tell you why.
