I think he just want to give Samantha a hug... • Did you first think Prince was gay? •
Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

Actually, i'm thinking Meloh was making commentary on her Facebook habit, since his initial post:
was general and not specific and apparently Samantha falls into that category.

Look ya'll. I know both of you, and neither of you are trolls. You're both pretty, so cool it.

This is the kind of post I was trying to avoid making, but...
If someone, a stranger on a forum, makes a thread about Facebook status updates and your habits fall under the umbrella of what they were referring to and your response is "If you don't like it, delete me off your friends list!" then I am left wondering why that is an appropriate comment. They aren't on your friends list. They're a stranger. It's like saying, "I don't like to eat meat." and someone who happens to love cooking hamburgers says "Well don't eat at my house anymore!!!" but they never ate at your house. They are a stranger.
It flips the script a bit if the person is your friend. Then its best to have a talk on the side in private and say, "Does this really offend you?/Why not hide my posts if it bothers you?/Delete me off your friends list!!" etc. You see what I am saying? lol. It ain't like I just walked up into this thread, slapping people cuz its fun. That's Ernest's job.

Your ideas are intriguing and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.
Yeah, I see what you're saying. Maybe Meloh is a FB friend of hers? • Did you first think Prince was gay? •

The plot thickens......

Woah. My post was simple -- and not directed towards anyone. I think it's being blown WAY out of proportion. It was a generalized statement. I do nothing professionally. I only do things for fun. johnart: Acrylic's old bras is where tits of all sizes go to frolic after they die. Tit Heaven.

I love it when Acrylic has Prince lyrics on her status. I usually continue them in the comments.
Anyway, as long as people don't overdo it to the point where EVERY status update is a lyric, what's the harm?
Having said that, the next person that posts "Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars....." etc as their status update is getting a big ol' slap in the face. I mean I dig that song as much as the next dude but damn, OVERKILL.
It's not even as deep as some people seem to think it is. |

If someone is feeling a Prince lyric, especially if that lyric or any song lyric pertains to where they are at that moment, then what's the harm in posting that? It's not your page, it's theirs. Live and let live. [Edited 6/28/10 11:51am] I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I've never posted a Prince lyric on my Facebook page. I love a Man who:
Wears More Make Up Than Me. Wears Four Inch Stilleto Boots. Changes His Name To An Unpronouncable Symbol. Who Changes His Name Back From An Unpronouncable Symbol. Oh And Most Importantly, Who Is Sexy Little Drop Of Butterscotch

Its Facebook for crying outloud...you can post whatever u want..prince lyrics, the theory of relativity, the game scores...whatevers...Meloh9, easy up on judgin folks who spread the words of P! its not such a bad thing. "Its flier to B hungry than fat"

Then I'm a lame because I post whatever I feel. And considering the fact that a lot of Prince's music fits my current romantic high, a sista will quote and quote. I have another FB friend who does the same thing. I don't complain for two reasons--1: She is SMOKIN hot and 2: It's just a fan being a fan. Things like that are so easy to look over with a few settings...
Oh well. We all like and dislike things.

I find that the lyrics may say exactly how one feels that day or that moment, not "lame" at all. Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

With due respect as well, I think the sheer fact of being on Facebook is lame.
