Somene on Moquake suggested the title of the new album "20TEN" could actually be construed as "2 ATEN", so being a play on princes past references to monotheism (which I think is very plausible).

Others say its just Prince being lazy/uninspired in naming the albuum.

But it seems odd that he'd (1) write the TEN and (2) make reference to a year of no discernible distinction.

Is it remotely possible, (get ready to laugh...) that Prince has concocted an idea of a series of 10 Albums acting as a sort of countdown? (i.e. 10, 9, 8, etc). I don't know what it would be a countdown to exactly (freeing his masters, retirement, The Dawn).

I did say it was far-fetched, didn't I?

But since Prince has already said he's 3 Albums down the road, he really could have this long a game-plan.

I remember that Prince originally intended for the titles of the songs on the 'Come' album to make a sentence, and we had the N.E.W.S. album, so this sort of thing is something he might do. The 'AndrogyNINE' name previously suggested might then make sense (unless it was just Prince putting that out there for a joke).

And if there was one artist in the world whose name you'd put to an idea that ambitious, surely it could only be Prince.

Please feel free to laugh at the silly idea which just came to me, and then come up with the silliest names for the next 9 albums
