For some reason Prince usualy sucks when he plays Jimi Hendrix,

althought i heard him do good version of Who Knows

and great version of Spanish Castle Magic.

On Spanish Castle Magic Prince plays original rhythm licks of Jimi and

the guitar solo is incredible ,angry very shredding oriented but still melodic and captures Jimi's spirit

It's crazy that Prince improved so much on guitar in the last few years.

Artist of his age tend to stick to their familiar zone but not Prince ,his guitar playing still grows.

prince sounds more polished these days, and he is still a very energetic player, but I am not hearing how he is leaps and bounds away from his old playing, at the end of the day its all about feel and passion. what do you feel he has improved on the most?

I like his cover of spanish castle magic... the guitar solo is different from the original and thats one of the main things I appreciate about it

I do believe he's grown as a player...

but the main thing is that he's letting his guitar stand out in front without the synths and horns getting in the way...

also, I like it that he plays more often without a second guitarist now...

What do i feel he improved well

before he had Prince licks that he played now he plays those lick with more note,he does much more fast runs,his notes are cleaner then ever and more advanced.

He Shreads a lot more and it sounds good

Prince experiment more with modes like phrigyan and Mixolidian in combination with Pentatonic scale.

And if you ask me it appers that PRINCE on stage now days is

very into guitar playing which is great.

During his Hey Days after Purple Rain he also played great

guitar but it was more like ooh look beside dancing and singing

i rock this thing,now days Prince is more like a guitar players guitar player if you know what i mean
