LOL, by the way check out the little drawing at the title of the Wonderful Ass lyrics, interesting, there were also some other Prince items 4 bid, just search Prince.

The story is that Prince left the notebook these were torn out of on his tour bus and the driver ended up with it. I think that's the gist of it. It's interesting that Purple Rain has the extra verse, but odd that these were all in the same notebook and seem to be purpose-written as opposed to being part of the creative process as there are no scribbles or word changes with the exception of the Wonderful Ass example. Maybe this was given to the driver as a gift. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

holy shit, those are amazing relics that peek into his true workings. Especially something like "Wonderful Ass" that exhibits his doodle style and a lot of brainstorming.

Good lord some of those went quite cheaply really. I would prefer to have hand written lyrics to the unreleased stuff like Wonderful Ass or Electric Intercourse than Purple Rain. Still not sure... in a recent interview didn't he say the original lyrics to let's go crazy where "are we gonna let the devil bring us down" and WB made him change it?

These look like Prince's lyrics, based on the dozens of others I've seen that I know are real. They are not the original ones he wrote in the studio or at other places, but these are still pretty cool. I wonder who got them. Anyone know? The description of the Symbol guitar is very carefully worded. In no way does it imply that it was ever owned by or made for Prince. Estimated at $3k to $5k, but went for 20 grand. Wow. It does look like the real deal to me, but who knows where this thing came from.
Maybe the letter of authenticity had a little more info on the history of it.

Prince's Habibi is a Schecter cloned from him Auerswald... This is the one which was built as a first price for some competition that was planned for his website... This guitar doesn't have the Prince finish nor his specs but is just a nice something for some fan made by the guys who made his...

For what it's worth, I have seen a few examples of writing by Prince which I know for a fact is genuine and I thought I was bidding on authentic items (I bid on the Wonderful Ass and I would die 4 U notes)
I actually bid for the Wonderful Ass piece when it reached 1000 USD but my bid didn't register in time. Hopefully Mrs Funksoldier wont see this thread. u don't really know me, u just think u do | |
