So am I the only one who read the thread title as Prince Is Featured On The Cover of BLATZ Magazine?
[img:$uid]http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n276/squirrelgrease/blatz-liberace-1-753x1024.jpg[/img:$uid] If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. |

nice cover shot. its honest.
Mmmm. Looking really FINE.
What I dislike about this cover is the fact that Prince clearly pushed for the white-with-green-eyes look. He isn't as white and he surely does not have green eyes. |

as far as cover shots go, its one of his better ones because it isnt arrogant and plastic-fake,
we're yet to see him with no make-up whatsoever and his hair a la natural.
only then will i agree he looks 'fine' lol
You mean something like these pics?

Is it the clothes, the make up or the lightning that was use to take this photo?
If he's going for someone he's not that is sad. |

yes
why he ever thought he had to look any better than this i will never understand except in regards to what the music industry expects, to the extent where he had to keep being controversial and colorful to deliver the 'whole package'.
the real whole package is Prince raw, unadulterated, clean, and natural.
that's wholeness.
imo.
that's also what a PRINCE really is.
(vanity becomes less and less appealing the more you mature)
this too shall pass |

While I find Prince attractive in every pic, he has a especially ethereal and sweet aura in the 3 pics above. I think that Prince has gotten trapped in an image that was imposed on him by Warner Bros. Maybe, he's afraid of losing record sales. Every time I read something about Prince in magazines like Rollingstone, Uncut, Blender, etc; some disrespectful writer always manages to make reference to Prince's height "the diminutive rocker, the elfing wunderkind..." What will they say next if he changes hairstyle? Perhaps, this is also one of Prince's fears, or may be not. |

I think that is what Prince meant in his acceptance speech. By the mistakes he made. Telling other artist don't do what he did to get to where he is . Prince never really had to do all that. Because he always had the talent to back all that up, Artist now try to dress raunchy and be nasty but don't have the talent to back it up...Only one does and i won't mention her..... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. |

The picture looks like one used on the cover of a mag called Tracks (2004) discussing the 20th anniversary of Purple Rain. |

There are way too many stickies in Music and More for 20Ten. It is a disorganized jumbled mess and people are posting so many dupe threads because there are too many stickies to look in to see if a post has been made.
I suggest that someone consolidate the threads into one, two, or three 20TEN threads covering various topics, such as one for the release methods( all of them in one thread ) , one for magazine covers/interviews, and one for reviews of the album.
As it currently stands, it is sloppy and poorly thought out. |
