5 songs that should've been in Cherry Moon movie/Parade album

I remember Prince said in an interview in 86 that he didn't have enough good material and rushed Parade, well if he would have used 5 songs from 85 to put on Parade and for Cherry Moon he might have felt differently.

High Fashion

Mutiny

Screams of Passion

Nothing Compares 2 U

Desire

I know that is the meat of The Family album, but hear me out...

High Fashion would have fit in lovely when Chris, Tricky and Mary go on their shopping spree along with Love Or $

Mutiny would have jammed when Chris and a drunk Tricky fight.. I'm a werewolf, bitch scene.

Screams Of Passion when Chris and Mary run off and making love at the race track and the Grotto

Nothing Compares 2 U instead of Honest Man instrumental when Mary is about to fly NY.

Desire to cap off the movie after Sometimes It Snow In April

Now this would have made the Parade Album rock and to get rid of fillers like Do U Lie, Life Could Be So Nice.

As for The Family, Prince could have given them Feline which jams.

Miss Understood which would have given Susannah a solo song and a few other songs from that era which still would have given them a tough album.

Just my 2 cents but I like how it flows.

What are your thoughts?

there's others here with us

old friends 4 sale

all my dreams

those should have been included somehow. as it stands, i still love parade most

of all his albums. but i don't understand a comment like 'i didn't have enough

good material', when he left songs like this off the album.

the family tracks are all very good but i don't think they would have fit on the

parade album all that well. but perhaps that's just because i'm so used to them

being on the family album now and can't really see them in another setting.

and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
