The last time Prince blew your mind

Anyone who is honest with themselves has to admit it doesn't happen very often but it does happen. The last time for me was the first time I heard "black sweat". Totally unexpected and totally unlike anything he had ever done.

Hi

I live in Cologne Germany.

I will see a Prince Concert on Jul 10th.

I am free.

I can hear.

I can play as much Prince as i want.

Ain`t that great.

I istened to a lot of Prince today.

I have a good friend.

I put on some tracks and we partied because it`s Prince`s birthday.

I liked sexy Mf(clean version) today.

I normally don`t listen to that track.

I am a virgo, not a gemini.

I have to go now.

Goodbye.

Love...thy will b done

MIND BLOWING!!!

Say it's just a dream...
U open up ur eyes and come 2 realize
u simply imagined this
So u lean over and give her a kiss
Here on earth, here on earth,
with u it's not so bad
Here on earth, here on earth
eye don't feel so sad
Stay right here

The title song he did for One Nite Alone. That was the last time he pulled something off that totally surprised and wooed me, musically, lyrically and vocally. It was the last song that I put on repeat cuz I wanted to hear it again and stayed with me up to today.

Ever since, I've been kept alive musically by people like The Knife, Ellen Allien (with or without Apparat), Leila, OOIOO, Arcade Fire, Bennie Sings, Burial, Circulatory System, Fenech, Soler, Beth Gibbons, Hercules & Love Affair, Iron And Wine, Roísín Murphy, Q-Tip, Queens Of The Stone Age, Valgeir Sigurdsson and Andrew Weatherall.

None of them have Prince's voice, though. So even if his music/compositions do not touch me like they used to, I will still always give it a listen. And he can make mediocre music for the rest of his hopefully long life as I will always be grateful for the amazing music he made earlier in his carreer; music that still touches me in ways no other artist will ever be able to.

He didn't that for me since TRC in 2001.

I doubt he ever will do it again given his output since then.

the last time Prince "blew my mind":

Album, the last strong was: The Gold Experience in 1995

Last live concert experience: London Tour in 2007

Songs, the last strong: Ol' Skool Company, Dance 4 Me, Colonized Mind

Prince hasn't blown my mind with his latest string of albums though. sad
