JR knows Jay Leno in the US very well, i don't think it will be an issue , he's only going to sing and talk about his music if that! biggrin

cool Excellent. It's been too long since he's done a UK TV show performance. Would be great if there was still an official Prince website for some sort of ticket allocation (similar to what happened with the Tonight Show in the US). I'd love to go to the recording...

Just somewhere in the middle,

JR is cool, he's not just the clown the media makeout, he's well read and can raise his game to interview prince, like he's done on so many of his outside projects.....

Great idea Prince, like i said Prince does his home work and JR has interview all of Prince's showbiz mates anyway ..... so if they had a problem with him ....HE WOULD KNOW ! cool

Holy... eek

JONATHAN ROSS?! of all PEOPLE!? Why on earth? Is Prince acturally a fan of this over bearing talk show host? I mean he asks all the good questions, but he sure is a talker and lime light addict.

I'm sure Prince can handle himself though.

& this being his last show he'll be on is quite an honor.. I hope Ross get's Jim Carrey aswell. They make 1 dynamic duo.

Can anybody confirm this from a more reliable source?

It'll be great it if happens, I can't ever recall Prince interviewed in the UK.

pray and repeat 'please be normal, please be cool, don't get too freaky and sound like a fool'!

I really hope that P just plays a couple of live trax and gets out of there. The timing will be off the back of the stadium gigs which if they haven't sold out well may well make him cancel anyway. By the way this is just a tabloid report so don't 100% believe it yet.

Can you imagine if it was like the Ross Noble interview...Prince wouldn't know what hit him. Plus Prince only does these when he has something to sell...whisper it - Tour!!!

If it does pan out and IS an interview as well, I really don't think either Jonathan Ross or Prince should change their style. They should just be themselves. Prince does have a sense of humour, but he can also be a little "different" or aloof. Jonathan can be smutty and innunedo-laden but also respectful and genuinely interested in music.

So what if an interview had elements of all of the above?

He was interviewed during his 'Tora Tora' phase on The Sunday Show for UK tv, interviewer was Veronica Webb.

Prince whispered his answers to Mayte, who then relayed them to Webb.

Both of them are Ego maniacs, one of them has a right to be, this would be a bad idea by the funkmyster.

this kinda makes sense of Jonathan Ross mentioning a few months ago on his radio show about P being on tour this summer, as discussed in an old thread, and those of us who mentioned at the time,

(modesty forbids wink !) that P would be a guest on his final BBC tv show, just like Leno's final shows.

it will b his first chat show appearance in the uk EVER !

it will b memorable, in any number of ways !

(note 2 P: Please play the guitar, show evry1 your wicked sense of humour and your intelligence, and make the 'no-mark' so called 'stars' we have here in the uk, drop their jaws 2 the floor !)

pray

Where is this show recorded?

And how does one gain access?

The show is usually recorded in Studio TC4 at the BBC Television Centre in London. The house band 4 Poofs and a Piano provide musical backing. The show used to be recorded on a Thursday, but since his return from the Russell Brand incident, it is now recorded on a Tuesday, leading to the show having much less topical humor.
