Well guys...it isnt looking too promising for the next album. Between Cause and Effect, Purple and Gold, and now, Hot Summer... it looks like he is gearing his new music toward the Disney audience.

Although I will buy his next album regardless.. I have to say, this is the first album Im actually dreading.

It's really no wonder why it seems Prince isn't putting any effort into the music he makes anymore. Why should he? He knows people "will buy the next album, regardless".

Just for shits and giggles, he should put out a CD of some of the WORST crap he's ever recorded.

I think someone (Novabreakr?) said in the main thread, that you shouldn't be too hasty in thinking the recent tracks are any indicator of the style of any new album, NPGMC tracks were followed by TRC, that's pretty polar.

Take that as a glimmer of hope and cling onto it with all you're might.

You may be right... But trust me..If it werent for the fact that Ive been a fan for so freakn long and already had all his albums to this point.. I would NOT buy his albums anymore. Im kinda in the mindset like "why stop buying them now?" Lol

That's pretty retarded...I mean, as a hypothetical what if he recorded an album of Skrewdriver covers, played on the xylophone would u still buy his records then? I know its the extreme but don't spend ur money without questioning why!!

I dont think its retarded at all. Who the heck do you think is buying his albums now? 99% are his Old school fans. We all go out on the first week of release and buy his cd, soaring him up the charts. Then hardly anyone is left to buy it, which results in him plummeting down the charts.

So I guess if im retarded then most of his faithful fans are.
