^ Yep elijah you know what I'm talking about. nod You can only please some of the people some of the time. If people saw some of the model/non-wannabe singers Prince has dated they would complain because these women don't look like Vanity or Mayte.

Nona Gaye would disagree with you. And Prince had her F***ing him For Tracks on one occasion when they dated. lol

If Prince was NEVER attracted to black women at all, then why the hell would he allow Nona Gaye, Troy Beyer, & (especially) Cat to be close to him at all?!?

Thank you! Not to mention Chili from TLC and Kenya Moore and Ananda Lewis and Tamar. Hell,,,,he was almost gonna marry Nona!

The problem is people get stuck on a certain image and they want to blame Prince for that. To say Prince is not attracted to black women is like saying Tommy Lee isn't attracted to brunettes. We all know that isn't true but some of us got stuck on stupid when we saw the same beauty image 3 times. We convinced ourselves there was a habit and a tendency when in reality we just didn't pay close enough attention to what else was going on.

Heck...let's not forget to throw in a blonde for Prince....hello Kim Bassinger. And who was that fine ass sistah in Black Sweat? I forget her name. Prince didn't date her but she was the lead in the video and the role could have gone to a white or hispanic woman but Prince chose a hot and sexy black woman because nothing else would have been appropriate...(cut to the scene were Princey is reading a magazine with Tamar on the cover).

People need to let this "Prince don't like the sistahs" bullshit go. It's getting old like rancid milk.

Nope, it couldn't have. lol The Black girl was definitely chosen, but clearly not for the reasons you're stating, lol, at least not in my opinion. Just look at how he's acting towards her in that video....She's another one for the prosecution, lol.

It would have been better to support your position by using the Black woman he chose to play his leading lady for the "Greatest Romance" video, during his slave years. Yes, she was shown as a beautiful and alluring figure, and he was surprisingly courting and seductive with her in that video. But again, like "Love Sign," no one besides us has ever seen that video before. But "Black Sweat?" When he was free again? Like all his videos in the 80s and early 90s, that lameness was everywhere, LOL.

To this day, however, the only one that stumps me is Tamar. Talented singer or not, when she came on the scene, I didn't know what to make of that, since he didn't put her in the background or make fun of her in any way (like he usually would while being "free"). And now that she's totally disappeared and was immediately replaced, I still don't get it. But, she's one for the defense....I guess. hrmph .... lol

Newsflash! Prince is not courteous or respectful toward women period! He's egotistical and he's a hornytoad. Men like that don't revere women on any level. Prince has had sex with many women and yet he's only married two of them...one of whom he cheated on wifey #1 with. His first he waited some years before putting a ring on her finger.

With respect to what we see in his music videos...he isn't and hasn't made any different lead choices than the rest of these brothas out here from the rappers to the crooners to the rockers. At the end of the day it's about what the general public responds to. Perhaps he is just giving the fans what they want. I was told Tamar was treated very harshly on this site. She was a black woman that Prince dated and tried to promote musically and there was negative commentary about her look - basically fans wanted to see another Vanity and then we got her complete with fake boobs and weak voice.

It is true that many fans here and on another site that no longer exists, made very, derogatory comments about Tamar, for the sake of making those nasty comments, because many fans seemed to have an issue with Prince promoting a darker-skinned black female, and some were outright jealous and fumed to no end, because he did. There were constant comments that she was not his "type" of protege, and they constantly tried to compare her looks/physical image to those former proteges.

Some here still make comments about Shelby J, as well. It does seem that when he is surrounded by darker-skinned female singers, gives them props, it's many of his fans that seem to have "issues" with that. People can google these threads to see if we're telling the truth, and they will probably have no problem finding them. So you may be right Desiree, he may just be giving many fans just what they ask for,.

Remember the lyrics to "Future Baby Mama?"

Future Baby Mama - By Prince

"I've heard it said my love was look-a-like
But could it be that I was lookin' 4 U?
They were cool but somethin' wasn't right
They had me fooled 4 a minute and then I saw the truth"

yeah the comments that were made toward Tamar on this site were just down right nasty and rude disbelief ever since Prince wanted to start promoting a darker skinned protege everybody wanted to start complaining disbelief too bad her album Milk & Honey was never released probably from the comments on this website Prince just got tired and dropped her disbelief but yet with every other protege(Apples Vanity Carmen etc) no body had nothing to say im tired of all the negativity towards darker skinned women neutral

Yes, but in defense of the defendant and his right to keep his Black Discovery Card ... lol (j/k), I have a question for the prosecution: Was he a JW when he did the "Greatest Romance?" I don't believe he was, so he was the pre-JW Prince when he did that scene with the pretty model/dancer in the "Greatest Romance". Since he has become a JW, I don't think in any of his following videos you see JW Prince, being seductive with the women that were in those videos. In "Te Amo Corazon" the girl was basically on the outside, while he was looking at her from the inside. Also with "Somewhere Here on Earth", the girl in the video was also on the "outside", while he looked from afar. Also for the "Chocolate Box" vid, he had Q-Tip and latina dancer challenging each other, while Prince's image appeared in the vid, on a video screen. That's all I have for now. So what you got, Waterinyourbath? Come on, bring it.... bringiton lol

http://www.contactmusic.c...e-betrayal Prince doesn't seem to be courteous and have too much respect for the Black woman in my opinion. Like most men I'm sure he'll have sex with the fine ones mentioned. I don't think he'll ever hold a Black woman's hand or marry one. Looking at his pass actions Black women shouldn't feel bad.

Thats why i think that the issue of Prince going out of his race shouldn't be an issue. Thats crazy

and if he wanted to date or married whomever he wants is fine too. Because the real meaning of love is too fine someone you are compatible with and people are going to make mistakes they are going to hurt each other. They are going to do things that maybe a person might not like. But one thing holds sometimes

you can't look at a magazine and get the whole story.

I 'm black i don't feel bad that he wants to go outside his race.

people should never feel bad about love...

And for you onthereal if a woman that looks at this thread and gets scare off of Prince

and his issue of his past relationship with Black women it looks bad on

him. But he still have the right to be with any race thats is right for him.(no fammy alert)

But thats my two cents '

Believe it, and you know how females can be sometimes, very "catty" and "jealous". I appreciated that Prince promoted her. I saw her perform at quite a few shows when he was promoting her. She did have a pretty good fan base during the time he was promoting her, despite some of the jealousy from some Prince female fans here and on another unofficial Prince website.

But don't you see each woman represented the lyrics to the songs. The girl from black sweat was this seductress introducing us to a new dance and she's too hot for even Prince to get close to ( rather he is too hot for us). GRES is more (IMO) the longing for a love over lust. I interpret the lyrics probably different than many...romance is also a short lived attraction and fascination between two people. In any case,,,these were two sistahs playing the lead/object of desire to Prince. They could have easily been played by non-black women and no one would say shit cuz supposedly this is what we're used to or this is what we demand and expect of the man.

I was never stumped by Tamar because to me she was like a flashback to Kim Upsher and Cat and even Susan Moonsie. She was that good looking scoop of chocolate ice cream amongst all the whip cream. lol He had her with the Twinz and also front and center. It was clear that she meant something to him...something personal and vice versa. For people to attack her the way they did...well that was like attacking Prince as well because she was his choice and she had talent. It would be one thing if she couldn't sing worth a damn but she could...her voice was quite palatable and so people chose to attack her based on her skin color . rolleyes downright ugly. And um...she aint gone totally. We will see her again. wink

If it was a Vanity-type girl in the Black Sweat video, and he made the playful smirk, no one would have said a thing about it or find it as an insult to her, they would have just blown it over, because the Vanity-type girl would have been embraced immediately by most fans,. But I remember some folks even putting down the dark-skinned black female in that video, and quite frankly I think they wanted the playful smirk on Prince's face to be something negative towards the woman in the video, because of who the woman was...a darker-skinned female, some fans were not too happy that she was in the video with him. I do remember some remarks about that too. Desiree, I like your interpretation of that video.

I remember whenever Prince performed "Black Sweat" live, , he would put that same smirk on his face, when he started to play it on the keyboard (I believe it was the keyboard), and then he would tease the fans, by playing around and putting his hand under his arm, then he would put this funny smirk on his face, like something was wrong, as though he was smelling something real funky, and then would take his hands and pretend he was throwing the "sweat or funk" at us. Of course, the "funk" he pretended to throw at us, represented the "funk" he was playing. It was hilarious. He had fans laughing their asses off when he did that. This was at the Butter Restaurant show in NYC back in 2006, and Tamar also performed that night too.

Honestly, Prince should have just promoted Tamar without the Twinz. Not that I had anything against them, but he should have just promoted her as a single performer, not drowned out by two people dancing all around her, which kind of contributed in taking the focus off of her for some fans.

You really think that at first i wanted to do website about (music) you have to do research on different fansites . But getting back to Tamar you would actually think Prince would draw the focus off of Tamar because she was" dark skinned". Well i guess but he's a performed and i guess he feels free to promote his own stage present like he feels free. But is Prince is like that now to his race? Because you

are looking at him on the stage and making your own comments( I used to that) But since i don't feel free to carry on.

You didn't even call in sick...hell, I got a hostile witness on my hands, not to mention poor Threadbare, (whose name had to be changed to protect his identity), and jury deliberations have degenrated, (predictably), into who P is sleeping with.

Save that one bullet...looks like the deliberations are going well into the night and somebody has to order the pizzas. We don't want a hung jury on our hands. lol

But, she's one for the defense....I guess. hrmph .... lol

[Edited 6/14/10 16:55pm]

Yeah. He started hanging with Larry Graham in 1997-1998, and had already started "studying" the JW faith around that time, right? Greatest Romance was released in 1999, so he would have been involved with the JW church already. But I'm not even concerned about his religious beliefs regarding this case, lol. The statuses I'm referring to are him being "free" versus his time as a "slave." Like I've said, when he's been "free," he's his usual ambiguous self loving to glorify ambiguous/non-Black women, and when he was "enslaved" (mid, late 90s-early 2000s) he was calling out for and aiming his work towards "Blackness" all of a sudden. Tamar is the only one during his "free" days that's an exception, and like I said, I still don't understand her time with him.

i think prince just likes pretty women short, tall ,blonde, latina, fit , cuvely, dark, fair, long hair , short hair , curly hair , etc.....

prince is just like every other man, a squirrel looking for a nut

he just has more options lol lol

[Edited 6/14/10 18:02pm]

He doesn't seem to fancy the Asian ladies. I've never seen or heard of one in his circle of lusties.

Thats cool to say but for me Prince want to be with everyone thats his right. All ego to the side i love Prince and i'm not fan-aticor stalker i wanted to do research on websites (and felt) you can read this stuff i was honest cause some people wouldn't caRELESS. but in this world everything is turn backwards.

If you read it came out of love...gain i had a website not promoting . I asked for nothing.. You are all his fans and you see people leave and go. Like a said god has the answer for everything his the judge and the jury. Prince i respect to not be over zelous some people would called it mean or disrepectful. I called it

be very respect to an artist i admire (adore).. I can't read things because this is a fansite and like i pose so many have did too. Thats why it is miscommunication because i can't read between the lines.(any more)

Look over the past relationships you all have...

Tame would be suit better she adore Prince. (fan)

You can read you know when a fan is a fan...

Or when someone comes with nothing to gain...

Or a stalker you can tell them too. (i know personally i got hurt)

And we have to think that a squirrel looking for a nut at 60

an as much i wanted to laugh i'm here with my father and he is

like mmm.

you can't live people lives for them, you can only learn as i (see it)

By looking over the treads is Prince is happy like you said he can have them all but they would

want Prince the performer not the man (he knows that)..But we don't know him so ..

We all laugh when you posted that because someone is going to make a thread up about Prince wanting a girlfriend . ( usually groupeee) I know you are fan and thats your right to think like this but look over what you wrote.

"we are one and connected so many people used that line..humanity...

if he use it for other reasons shame on him. But you are a fan .

just dont see black women(not all) falling for that

should said that no woman should fall for it. But you know people like money and fame

so they really wouldn't care.

.

And you all told Prince one time yourselves that he is getting old. (he stiil looks good).

iI stated my case all was said was true.

As a person please be truthful to your artist God Bless i wanted to say this Yall' are some crazzy

i said this was going to be a hard delete. BE LOVED@copyright

So there's NO evidence of Prince dating an Asian woman? My God, somebody call the "no Asian woman" police. If a man like Prince has never dated an Asian woman my suspicion tells me he has a damn good reason why! I rest my case. lol

i figure he's entitled to say whatever he likes. its my choice whether i buy into or not. some things he says ring true for me, other things sound like one of his other personalities stepping up to the plate to bat. the difference is in knowing when he's speaking from his real-self, and when he's just being the puppet, parroting other people's ideas. he's not perfect by a long shot, so it's easy to overlook things he says that don't add up with his own behavior.

this too shall pass

alright so i bought the copy on thursday and i read it and i have a few complaints(?) about it...

i reread the interview and the thing before it to see if Prince actually did say about Bria being his gf but nothing...so how come the ebony ppl assumed that Bria was his gf if he didn't say anything about it...i mean sure maybe the way they acted when they were sitting down at dinner time could've clued them in to their (Brias and Princes) relationship but they didn't say anything about it...

and the interview is that he wrote his answers...but when he writes GOOGLE IT it says after that (laughs)...how could they have know if he laughed if they weren't in the same room as he was at the time that he was writing it...he could've written LOL or HA HA. something to that effect...:/

[Edited 6/12/10 20:15pm]

I think you read it wrong. It was Prince that inserted (laughs) in that part of his response, not the Ebony staff..

no i didn't read it wrong...i guess i didn't put the question more clearly...so i'll ask again...

why did he put (laughs) when he's answering the question??

he couldn't have put LOL or HA HA??

i mean when i write out a letter i don't put Laughing...i put either LOL or HA HA.

it could've been more believeable (to me anyways) if he had put either or cuz that (laughs) is bothering me...i mean its not even in the present tense...it's in past tense...:/

Love God. Love Music. Love Life.

I think he fancies them like we wouldn't believe. So many beautiful women, petite just like him. Could there be an Asian female inside of Prince? He said they discovered a female side in him--not me) or was it cosmic talk like he did in Ebony? lol
