Which is your favorite?

Are there any you really do not like?

Would you like to see Prince release another instrumental album?

Love them all.

All of them contain some of his greatest pieces in my opinion. My favorite is N.E.W.S.

I'm starting to think all his future albums should just be instrumental.

A good idea. At least until he's got something to say.

You forgot Kamasutra and Times Squared (though Eric Leeds finished production on the tracks, it's basically a Prince album).

I always wondered if the negative feedback all these albums get here isn't just, in most cases, the mere reflect of people's tastes for VOCAL music.

I just love all the aforementioned jazz/funk albums.

As for Kamasutra well, it sounds silly and quite simplistic compared to orchestral contemporary & experimental music, but there are some good things on it.

Why are people assuming Prince didn't play on Kamasutra?

It's just keyboard wank wanting to sound like classical music made by a guy who has no idea of what classical music is about.

Would you like to expand on the bolded part? What is classical music about? And why is Kamasutra, based on what you definition will be, an attempt at being classical music?

In reference to the thread, I love the Madhouse albums, I also think Xpectation is charming and I like NEWS. Kamasutra is probably best appreciated in context (ie as the ballet it was intended), but I've not experienced it that way, so I can't say. Believe it or not, I'm yet to hear C-Note! eek
