Radio Versions Vs. Full Lenth Versions? Many of Prince's singles have been edited down from the full length versions on CD/LP or on CD singles.
"1999" on the radio, for example, is criminal; they cut the beginning and ending. "Batdance" the single misses the single best part; the extended guitar. But, I think the most lacking edited version of a Prince song is "Thieves in the Temple," because the coolness of the song only really kicks in after the "formal" song is over.
