Hmmm, interesting stuff about the Androgynine trademark. The Ebony teaser ad doesn't really have any hint backing this up apart from the symbol but Prince uses that in most projects anyway. Sometimes I get the impression some of these things are working titles like a movie or book. As we know nothing has yet resulted from the similar trademark info for Armana/New World Records. Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

I just hope folks don't get 2 caught up in this rumour.
All we really know about Prince's recent recording is: A) Janelle Monae heard it and liked it. B) James "Fluff" Harley assisted in recording/engineering, and said, "everyone is a one take wonder at Paisley... just finished tracking guitar and voice with the Man (Prince)" James Harley is known for mostly Indie Rock in the engineering realm. "He's a musician's musician..."

Yes, which I doubt... Not because I haven't heard about it, nor because I've heard contrary, but simply because I would think that Prince would have called it "Lie Down", if it were real. "He's a musician's musician..."

I don't know shit, but it's possible that new record label names were trademarked when it looked like the NPG moniker may be lost to a court battle. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

If it's a sexual song then the rumored title works better, if it's a political song or some kind of message, then "Lie" would be better. |

Giovanni777 said: The other thing troubling about this rumour, is that the proper word is "Androgyne", not "Andrognynine"...
That's why the "9" instead of "nine" makes more sense. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Androgynine, as in to have androgynous qualities. |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Actually, I edited that, because it is clearly an intentional bastardization of the word... or "creative usage"...
The word is "Androgyne" in literal usage. "He's a musician's musician..."

STILL... Someone other than Squirrelgrease could have found the trademark notice, and started the rumour based on that.
Much thanks 2 Squirrelgrease 4 finding it though! Good work, Detective! "He's a musician's musician..."
