3 Chains O' Gold is one of Prince and the NPG's best performances hands down. It's more epic than even most power metal on the market. It definately tramples over Purple Rain in scale and guitar wizardry and actually manages to hold a candle to the Queen epics it seems to be emulating. | |

Maybe you just don't like Prince's cheesey side. But it's hard to avoid... I for one think this song is a sublime pop ballad arrangement. Fair enough if you don't like the style, but it's a freakin masterful exploration of that style.  your right. prince is cheesy. but I think musicaly "arms of orion" is cheesy.
