January 21st, 1987 - Madhouse's first album, 8, was released. Happy 16th birthday!!!

Probably the most similar album he's done to Xpectation - it seems in some ways like he's gone full circle back to the period of exploration and invention of 1986-1988.

I'm listening to 8 now - haven't heard it in a long time. It is a great album - I love the thought that he recorded this solo with Eric Leeds providing all horns. I love that he passed it off as a band effort too - I still wonder if there are any other released projects we don't know about because he was uncredited.

Thoughts on the album? Memories?

The Madhouse albums are by far my favorite side project/protege work he's ever done. I'm glad that he's getting credit for his instrumental work now though.
