What Was The Best Prince Professionally Filmed Televised Performance?

My vote (so far) goes to the Musicology Concert. Professionally-shot from different camera angles, great picture, and great audio sound. What are other opinions on the best Prince professionally filmed and/or televised performances?

The Superbowl performance
1985 AMA
1985 Grammy Awards
There are many televised performances on various shows, poetcorner61. You just asking about our favorites?

The performance on the Sinbad show and also the Arsenio Hall performance (not the awful symbol album performance, but the Diamond n Pearls performances. Those were really good.

The Superbowl
and 1985 Grammies are my favourites.

Both were good performances, and were well filmed

I'm asking about personal favorite televised performances and also your favorite professionally-shot performances that some may have seen (such as the Glam-Slam Shows) but not for everyone. The Super-bowl Performances are a given--it won over many new fans, including my hard-to-please son! lol

Livesexy 88 was great, if a little shoddy camera work.

Personal favourite was the performance of Sign O The Times on the 87 MTV awards.

I know most, if not all, will disagree...BUT.... The 1983 First Ave gig where Purple Rain was performed and recorded for the album is just awesome to me.
Maybe Not the whole thing..but the Purple rain segment. It looked so raw, so real.
The way he is sweating, his hair isnt "perfect" and he isnt showing off like he usually does. He just seems so sincere in this performance. The slightly longer guitar solo, it was just more "heart felt" and not just him trying to blister it like he usually does.
Even his voice. He sings it so well. No unnecessary falsettos..just a true "Prince" voice. Again... the whole performance of this song seemed more real than anything ive ever heard him do.

The Sign O The Times show at Paisley Park on New Years Eve 1987 is my favorite. Prince was having a blast and not just "performing" for the camera. The dancing was great. I can't praise this performance enough!

I think the SNL performances (Electric Chair and Fury) were pretty well-filmed.

Did anyone mention the 1981 SNL performance where he does Uptown? There are many great Prince television performances, but Saturday Night Live 1981 ('80?') Stand out the most. It used to be on youtube. I doubt it still is.
