is truly beautiful That is one truly "amazing" song. "Amazing" gets thrown around a lot on here, and it cheapens the real meaning. But "The Love We Make" is really amazing. The mood, the lyrics, the delivery. It was one of Prince's last great songs.

The song was released in 1994, yes. But the version on The Gold Experience was rerecorded for the album. So technically, if they're talking about the album version, they had the date right. But if they meant the original version, then you are correct with the 1994 date.

The Holy River
A Question Of You Joy In Repitition ....actually this is kinda pointless in its subjectivity, I think half of the songs on Diamonds&Pearls, Love Symbol, Emancipation and Crystal Ball are great notwithstanding when they were written. Old Friends 4 Sale is my favourite album of his from the 90s. 'Ain't No Place Like U' and 'Mo'Better' from Mayte's album are classic Prince tracks.....no, they are

Both versions have their own charm. The 1994 version is a straight ahead beautiful song; a version Prince used for multiple instrumentals, and Mayte's version as well. The 1995 version was more band oriented and fit the band-feel of The Gold Experience.

The Question of U The One Eye Hate U Violet the organ grinder "The Question of U" dates back to 1985, so it's not really a 90's song. Same with the aforementioned "Joy In Repetition" being from 1986.

My interpretation is that it's about a young, insecure girl who tries to mask that fact by pretending to be a gangster. It's one of my favorites off TGE btw.
