What if the Revolution toured with P for SOTT...

I know Matt Fink was part of the lovesexy band, and Lisa & Wendy are featured on some of the tracks, but I've always wondered, what the SOTT album would've been like as a Prince and the Revolution album, and if they toured with him in the concert/film.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Prince wanted to keep Brown Mark in the band... could you imagine the combo of Mark and Sheila E? cool

The SOTT/Lovesexy band was awesome, but I would've liked to see W&L stick around as writing/studio partners definately. smile

like already stated it would have been Dream Factory

and I think we might have gotten more out of the era than SOTT, we might have gotten a USA tour

We might have gotta a Dream Factory release and then a Camille release too

There would have been a higher level of song/music writing for the next album

Prince wouldn't have fallen into a catagory of RnB artist

Cat would still have joined the band, she was asked sometime in 86 at a dinner party

Sheila E would have continued to play along with the Revolution, and we would have had more come out of her album:videos singles tours etc etc

the fame of the Revolution would have instantly added a touch of royalty to the film/tour
and Wendy (maybe even Susannah or Jill) if they were in it would add a heightened attraction

BrownMark Bobby Z & Lisa strong silence and their immediate history would have added a different interplay with Prince, Mico Levi Boni didn't have that

possibly Jill Jones would have been more intricately connected to the era

Susannah is a key element though
