Prince inspires fashion line in Paris http://www.youtube.com/wa...uQMWIx0GfY
http://www.wwd.com/fashio...city=paris Posted Thursday March 04, 2010 The Eighties are back! Actually, they never really left the premises, chez Balmain. Those wondering if Christophe Decarnin would push his sexy sensibility to new terrain got their answer in the raucous opening score: 1984’s “Let’s Go Crazy” by Prince. The resulting collection made for a big, glittery so-what retort to all those designers reining things in, left and right. Mr. Purple Rain, it turns out, would offer more to Decarnin’s runway than thumping acoustics; the fall lineup was a lavish ode to the singer and his bold hybrid of Eighties-meets-Seventies glam rock style. There were chubbies and terrific pantsuits galore, the latter fiercely cut discotheque-style, with slim boot-cut bottoms and snappy jackets. The flashiest included one version with sparkling pinstripes and another in blinding brocades. Much of the collection, in fact, would be cast through this baroque filter, with a good 30 of the runway’s 36 looks working a serious flaxen motif. Leaning toward the more indulgent side were Decarnin’s familiar party dresses — shoulder emphasis; sky-high hems — densely piled with metallic sequins and beads. Meanwhile, gold chain details — trailing seams, lacing across LBDs or in tinsel-like fringe on a jacket — punctuated the rest. Purple, naturally, provided the collection’s other major shot of the color, as seen in the florid velvet brocade blazer. Fall may have felt like a replay of the designer’s greatest hits — sizzling silhouettes, fringe, military riffs and peaked power shoulders — and why not. It’s a formula that seems to be working for the company, which has reported sales growth in excess of 50 percent in recent years, and recently plunked down $2.6 million for the renovation of its Paris boutique.

High fashion is always so ugly. I do nothing professionally. I only do things for fun. johnart: Acrylic's old bras is where tits of all sizes go to frolic after they die. Tit Heaven.

So everyone wants to dress like a pirate? Nah...I'll keep my sequinned jacket. LOL. I love a Man who:
Wears More Make Up Than Me. Wears Four Inch Stilleto Boots. Changes His Name To An Unpronouncable Symbol. Who Changes His Name Back From An Unpronouncable Symbol. Oh And Most Importantly, Who Is Sexy Little Drop Of Butterscotch

If you're saying those clothes are ugly that really surprises me. To me, the non dress outfits, would look great on Prince. I'm firmly planted in denial
