I still blame the promoters on this, even though Prince acted like a dick. If they really didn't get a watertight contract with someone like Prince, then they don't understand their business.

Lets face it, most fans knew he wasn't going to turn up.

Where Prince screwed his fans over yet again was leaving it until the week before to pull the plug. He had months to deny any involvement and chose not to. He let a loyal fan base, from all over Europe books plane tickets, hotels and seats and then shafted them with a week to go.....again.

The promoters are to blame in the court case, Prince is to blame for his fans losing out.

At the time, the rumour of the cancellation had been going on for weeks. If Prince had cancelled, and he had no contract, then he was perfectly free to let fans know he wan't coming or involved. He didn't. Thats contempt for a fan base.

Maybe he wants his fans to know he cares for them and that it wasn't his fault per se.
Or maybe he feels taht he is in his rights.
