Ur Favorite Prince Cover Prince has covered many artists, so what is a song that you think is better than the original and why?
Mine would be One of Us by Joan Osborne. That song was boring to me until Prince covered it. He put so much emotion and agrression and rawness in his voice especially towards the end. He really opened up the window to his soul and for some reason it almost brings me to tears. It's like he's preaching. April usually brings showers

My fav live cover is probably "Just My Imagination" As far as studio covers, either "One of Us" or "Everyday is a Winding Road". I know the latter one catches a lot of flack, but I like it.

I edited Larry Graham out of that song, and it's even better for me. I don't mind the cover in general. His best cover though, is "U're Gonna C Me", a cover of his own song. The 2nd version is a lot better. Same goes, in a near-tie, for the newer version of "The Dance".

I know he wrote moat of her songs but whenever he does Sheila E songs like Noon Rendezvous the Rehearsal for First Avenue 1984 Birthday Show I'm only responsible for what I say, not for what you understand
