Once a year, to really get in touch with the deep cuts of the Prince catalog I listen to Prince ONLY for a month. Taking a cue from National Novel Writing Month, I call it NaPriLiMo--National Prince Listening Month. It starts in Feb!

I'd love joiners but when I talked about it here last month everyone thought I was crazy. This year I plan to blog the adventure. If you have any tips or want to see if I get too funky you can follow it here:

I've been listening to Prince ONLY since July...
And I'm about to continue for a year or so...

I think it's hilarious the reactions I get when I tell people I do this. A lot of people on this board have said "yeah I do that all the time--no big deal!" and then others think it's impossible. I guess I don't post to many music boards devoted to an artist (only this one, I think). So it shocks me that Org members think this would be impossible!

Honestly it totally allows me to focus, especially in this time of being able to dnld almost anything automatically!

i,ve been doing prince only for the last 3 years and works just fine for me.

not a chance, hardly listen to P these days as there's so much great new stuff out there to discover. The thing is, with newer artists [i.e. 5 years or less into their career] you can hear the hunger both on CD and live, when you get to P's stage the hunger inevitably goes away.
