LOVESEXY LIVE DORTMUND

Awesome concert, thankfully captured in perfect audio and video/DVD. But what is the best moment of that live show, is it The Cross, Bob George perhaps, Lovesexy itself, or any of the classix, When U Were Mine, Pruprle Rain, Head, Sister, Erotic City, or perhaps the piano medley.

For me - The Cross!

U?

fave: the instrumental "intermission" between part 1 & 2.... lol

Seriously, no - I love the whole show, can't pick just 1 song.

But I think it was amazing that Prince was performing almost every new Lovesexy song.... Eye No is fucking brilliant, and the Alphabet Street finale/ encore...
wow.

I can't name 1 song that sounds bad in the whole show..... cool

I love The Cross, but I have to say that Alphabet Street is the highlight for me. Especially as it's so much better than the country-and-western-ified version he plays during live shows in more recent times!

I've always loved When U Were Mine. Best version I've heard. Just seems like they're having fun on stage. I never get bored of watching it.

Tricky as there are so many to choose from, but i always smile when 'I wanna be your lover' drops. The intro is instantly reconisable and the drumming rocks! As a result i tend to play that side of the red box l.p a hell of alot. smile I do wish Nagoya 89 had a dvd/video release thow, the audio on that it brilliant

Blues in C (If I had a Harem) is still pretty fuckin' great after watching it 10 billion times. I love his vocal towards the end of the song after the guitar solo where he goes "I give you one to wash your body, 2 to wash your hair, 3 to wash you here, and another one to wash you there. If I had a harem girl."

Since this is in my eyes probably the best thing he has done in his whole carreer it holds a lot of highlights for me, out of the top of my head some highlights:

- Erotic City; Prince crawling behind Sheila....
- Housequake: "Eric!" and Erics solo ofcourse...
- Slow Love: How P. tempoos the song and sings 'baby' a bit later
- The instrumental Jam to Sister: this guitar thing in Sister..great!
- The guitarsolo in "If i had a harem" and the interaction with the audience
- Superfunkycalifragysexy: sitting on the chair or jumping on the bed...what's more fun?
- Anna Stesia sang from the heart
- Lovesexy and Prince and Cat's dancing!
- I wish u Heaven and Bonnie Boyer!
- The piano solo

Just too many! Electrifying concert!

It was officially released on laserdisc. Loads of bootleg dvd versions are out there.

If this was ever released in HD I think I'd explode.

I enter something akin to catatonic pure bliss whenever I listen to "I Wanna Be Your Lover/Head/A Love Bizarre"...

"You ready to rock 'n' roll tonight? Then here it is!"

"On the drums, y'all--Sheila E.!"

"You know you're nasty--say it!"

"I'm from Minneapolis; I don't play that."

"Junior--wipe it out!"

Oh yeah, I was just watching this yesterday.

Highlights for me are The cross,

and I wish you heaven.

I'm not so much a fan of the piano medley. I used to have the audio only when I was younger and played it till I was sick of it.
My name is Naz!!! and I have a windmill where my brain is supposed to be.....
