Prince's biggest streech in music What is /was a streech for Prince in a music sense?
Which songs you find like it wasn't easy for him to come up with ? We know that Prince can make songs like Tho Work pt1 in his sleep or other James Brown pastiche but what about songs where he used more inventive chords, more striking guitar solo, crazy drum beat or different time signature? My vote goes to Last December i find it it's the only song that is similar to Purple Rain vibe but if you are in the right mood it can sound better then his most well known song. While Last December have friendly harmony in chorus and verses at the middle he started adding many different moods that sound complex but without losing focus and sounding self indulgent . second vote goes to Parade while it's not my favorite album by P whole album(except Kiss) have Europe in the songs.you can almost smell France. a kind of sophistication Prince's music didn't have before that. so whats your choice and why? What the hell is a streech?
I think it'd be easier to ask.....what are some of Prince's more unique songs or albums. Tough call. Every person is going to hear something differently. . [Edited 1/22/10 13:33pm]

Even without the spelling mistake, this thread sounds confused and garbled. What the heck are you on about? So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

Prince has done lots of streeching in his musical career.
There have been genre streeches. Band change streeches. Hairdo streeches. Fashion streeches. Probably even a Streech Armstrong thrown in somewhere. but... Without a doubt, the greatest streech has to be the fight song. Not for its lack of musical dazzle, but for its lack of fight. That song is more like a I JUST LOST A FIGHT song. Now that's a hell of a streech backwards for a man with so much talent. Progressive regression, as a great poet once said. Now for a streech forwards, I'd have to say I love the Kama Sutra Ballet. So different, and everytime I play it, I get a kick out of how shocked people are when I tell them that it's Prince. They always think it's Andreas Wollenweider. And by the way. I do admire your absolute refusal to be cohesive, and your casual attitude towards spelling. So refreshing. Thank you for fun.

I'm pretty sure he stretched something doing all those splits on the Rave DVD
