Just For The Heck Of It!

Just for the Heck of it, how about a concert tour with Madonna and Prince together! What do you think--what should be their songs, dance moves, and back-up singers and band members? eek biggrin

Good thread!! omg right there are my ultimate two fav people as for songs there are so many good ones i dont know if they could even have a long enough set for what i would want to hear...

PRINCE:
1.go crazy
2. computer blue
3.beautiful ones (no preticular order) and the list could go forever
4. 17 days
5. adore
6. love sexy
7.do me baby

MADONNA:

1. like a virgin
2. holiday
3. like a prayer
4. material girl
5. vogue
6. express yourself
7. borderline

Anyway that would be one fucking awsome concert

The only way that Madonna could even get on the same stage as Prince would be as a backing singer, with the vocal turned WAY down...come on she would be found out big time, I mean to say Madonna who is next Kylie, Pink, Spice Girls...you are having a laugh right?

I am being serious and saying for the heck of it at the same time! I was a Madonna and Prince fan at the same time in the 80s and I think they could have an awesome concert together if they both worked at it! Now, whether that would ever happen is left in dreamland and that is where this thread is focused! The Madonna I identify with is the one from the 80s (with an exception or two). But I think in reality that both could work well together if egos were put aside. Who do you think should work with them in this dream concert?

Throw in MJ, Robbie Williams, Susan Boyle and the Pet Shop Boys and then U have one hell of a concert, Prince could play all the instruments, MJ could do a Moonwalk (I know he is dead), Madge could flash her fanny, Robbie could tell the crowd to fuck off, Susan could maybe duet with P and the Pet Shop Boys could be Robbie and Mike's bottom fun after the concert. Hows that for fantasy?

Id' rather they do a tribute concert in the other's honor and perform the other's songs.

Prince could perform:

Oh Father
Music
Like A Prayer
Hung Up

Madonna could perform

Kiss
Darling Nikki
I Hate U
Gold

Thinking of what songs they could pull off with their particular voices.

Luv that scenario! LOL You have me remembering when I was a kid in the 70s, a local radio station put on a "dream fantasy" concert for 48 hours with screaming fans in the background--the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, etc. and I thought it was real! I tried so hard to stay awake that weekend and record all of it on my tape player! Then, I found out it wasn't the second Woodstock and I was devastated! Never again! But, I love the thought of Prince, Madonna, and MJ doing a concert together at the top of their collective careers in the 1980s! So, play along...who should do backing vocals and who should do duets in this 80s fantasy concert!
lol

I always liked Madonna, I liked that she was independent and represented in an environment controlled by men. After the coffee table book though, I was kinda like...no so much anymore.

But I would go see her and Prince perform together.

Which I'm not making any judgements, it just turned me off because I heard it was so rancid. To me it was completely opposite of the "empowerment" she'd gainned. I also understand she was making $$$ doing it, I didn't dig it but good for her.

she totally did that for the shock value and the money. the book was expensive. I think she later said, after her kids were born, that she wished she hadn't done it. funny, people will talk about her horrid movies before they talk about that book. lol

Madonna, for me, was a big inspiration in the 80s, as an independent and sexy woman. I liked her music, fashion, and vibe. I only parted in later years!

Who would be able to afford the tickets? Hell, they'd have to charge $1000 a ticket for the cheap seats.

she sang out of tune last time she was in Denmark, I saw - and heard - her on danish news television, embarrassing.

I can't hear her talent, never could.

I only like 3 or 4 of her songs, I am definately NOT a big fan of her.

the answer is NO. wink

The funny thing is they have 2 different types of shows. P is all about the music. Madonna is all about the dancing, staging, etc.

She wouldn't have to, because Sheila would be on percussion and would sing it herself. razz wink
