Lovesexy dvd question

The Lovesexy tour (Nude) was the first tour I ever attended as a kid. I was gonna hit ebay to find the DVD what country was the DVD released in? So I can hit that country and buy it.

The Nude tour was the one after the Lovesexy tour. The Lovesexy tour was only available as a Japanese laserdisc and a VHS release in Europe and has to this date not been released in DVD format (except for a few bootleg releases that sometimes look almost legit).

Neither tour (Lovesexy or Nude) has been officially released on DVD.
So anything you find will be bootlegs.

The Lovesexy tour was only officially released on Video and Laserdisc. The
Nude tour was only (partially) shown on TV, and was never released commerically.

not on DVD (lovesexy was on PAL VHS in 2 parts. I think Part 1 was the 2nd half of the show.)

I think the only 2 concerts put out on DVD were the Rave and the Vegas show (Not sure about the 1985 show)

*sign O the times: was not really live.

Why would they be interested in a show that is 20 years old? In that case he better release some O2 stuff. (Or should have done, that momentum might have been gone as well)

Think we are going to go round in circles here and start splitting hairs on the subject. Lets agree to disagree. I'm sick of arguing with people on this site/place.

Then what is the point of this (part.part of) the site. For us to discuss, give opinions etcetera.

But hey, you're free to go. (Or get an aspirine wink)

I would rather have a seen a DVD release of Lovesexy Dortmund than the Diamonds & Pearls Video DVD that came out recently. But maybe it's a rights issue.

I agree with you on that one. I like Lovesexy the most, never watch Las Vegas show (really sucks) and sometimes part of the Rave. Lovesexy would be a great official release for fans, but I don't know how many other peoplde would buy it, since it is old. On the other hand, A lot of people have seen the show back in the days, so if the price would not be too high...??
Personally i would go for a bit higher price to include some extra stuff, like videoclips from that era for example.

Just because you don't know anyone who would buy it apart from older fans doesn't mean they won't.

ie young people discovering the Beatles etc.. Or are you not aware of this??

Really, really can't be bothered to argue over these sorts of points but want to make it now I've started....

Seems like you just want to argue rather than discuss. Very boring I think.

I'm constantly amazed by the same old questions being asked!

But I guess what's more amazing is that new fans are constantly arriving... That's a good thing, right?

I didn't say I dopn't know anyone who would buy it, did i? I am just wondering how many people will. Problem is that a lot of work would have to go to make this a production that is up to date. More work than have gone in Alladin and Rave i think.

I would say a lot of stuff from for example the beatles that is released nowadays is really made with a lot of care and meybe even love, something i dont recognize in the releases by Prince. Same goes for the website. You do have to take potential buyers serious.

I tried to discuss what show would be better for a release. The O2 shows give a good span of the mans career so far. Thus would maybe be better for new folks to discover Prince.

There are 2 essential bootlegs you should get from those periods

Both pro shot and really good quality:

For lovesexy its the Dortmond 88 (Livesexy as its sometimes known)

and for the Nude Tour theres a boot called Tokyo '90

If u wanna go a bit futher back to the SOTT Tour then the warm up in first avenue called 4 Those Of U On Valium. its one of my favourite shows

But thats just my opinion lol
