Really? I am interested in how much people really knew about his involvement in side projects back then. Also, did the Vanity, Madhouse, Sheila, ... releases gain much attention from people?

Prince's female impersonation is what makes the song! The song is funny, not to mention funky as hell. It's one of my favorites.

I agree. It's suppose to be comedy and comedy isn't meant to be taken so seriously.

I always thought that Susan could have played the "girl",but then the song wouldn't have been nearly as humorous lol

I wonder though....is Prince playing a "girl" or is he playing "a gay man"? He clearly sounds like a man on the song but yet,his lines indicate that he is the "girl" that Jimmy is with.
