It's just a DJ mix company. They took popular songs of the day and made remixes of them. They aren't official remixes per se. Just different mixes for club DJ's to play. The technology wasn't as good back then as it is now so the mixes were often just looped and cut apart. Ultimix would be the most well known of these companies still around today.
