Prince Guitar Hero!! Look we all know that Prince was offered money for Purple Rain and Little Red Corvette to be featured on a guitar hero game, in saying that im not looking for people to post the link where it explains that he rejected the offer blah, blah, blah. Im after peoples ideas about how the game, if you could design it or even one aspect of it how would it look? what about song lists, costume ideas, new peripherals. It doesnt matter what it is, put your idea down, this is a forum and the game does not exist so let your imagination run wild. i wanna hear it all. And if this topic gets alot of activity ill share something of mine im sure you would find interesting.

If they released a Prince - Rock Band game
I would buy it in a heartbeat

Well lets be serious here.If Rockband is your game, then of course you can suggest things. after all theyre pretty much the same thing.

Prince doesn't have to appear in a "Guitar Hero" game to be a real Guitar Hero, because he is already one. If someone wants to give tribute to his under-appreciated guitar abilities--they will buy a real guitar and take the time to learn the chords themselves...as well as other great guitar players! Forget Guitar Hero the game, play guitar and be your own hero!

I knew someone would hold this view. And i do agree with you, Prince is an amazing guitarist, definatly under-appreciated. And learning his songs on guitar would be great, but some would just be really hard. And guitar hero isnt a substitute for real guitar and it definately doesnt draw people away from real instruments. Its just an outlet for fun, you can play around with your friends as a band. This is good fun for people who like me have tried guitar and just cant do it. And some people dont have the time or money to commit to real guitar. All im saying is that its just for fun, for people to enjoy their favorite songs from their favorite artist. IM sure you would feel good playing your fave prince song with your firends. And im sure it helps prince but i wouldnt see it as a form of major publicity for Prince.

another bad business decision by prince.
those games, like 'em or not, make those artists a ton of money and expose kids to music they wouldn't hear otherwise. prince really makes terrible business choices. [Edited 12/30/09 23:41pm] Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - Lord Acton

When Prince doesn't do projects like this that are successful, he's a bad business man. In this case, Prince doesn't care about how much money he could make. Would it be cool if Prince's music was on Rock Band or Guitar Hero? Of course, but there's gonna be other opportunities for him down the line. JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!

Prince is a Rich man, but not the mogul he set out to be after the success of purple rain. I think he has his moments of creativy when it comes to where and how he plays and distribution but for the most part he tends to shun involvement with proven business models like guitar hero. If the idea dont come from him and excludes as many people as possible he's not down with it- but he can afford to be this way.

[Edited 12/31/09 1:43am] I never said that he didn't care about money, or that he's never made bad business decisions. The 77 dollar membership to LotusFlow3r isn't just for the album. It was supposed to be a place where Prince where members got videos, music, 1st dibs on concert tickets, etc. Obviously, the website isn't good. What I'm saying is that Prince can't win with certain people. If he's using opportunities to make a lot of money, people say all he cares about is money. If he decides to decline money making opportunities, he's a bad business man. Prince isn't the only artist to turn down the use of his music for Rhythm-Based games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band. I'm not sure if Prince's music being in a Video Game is as good idea as it used to be anyway . For every great game like Beatles: Rock Band. There's awful garbage like Guitar Hero Van Halen and Guitar Hero Aerosmith. JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!

Ive never played Guitar or hold an interest in any of the games like that out. If there was one for Prince then hell yes I would get it. Being able to do those amazing Guitar solos would be great entertainment.
Purple Rain, Computer Blue, Endorphine Machine, Lion of Judah , Million Days, Guitar, I Hate U , so many!!! Lets not forget Little Red Corvette....(lol rhymed) [Edited 12/31/09 9:28am] www.nextpowergeneration.com PS3's own NPG!

[Edited 12/30/09 23:41pm] Point is well taken, but Prince also has never been a sale out. The entire sale out model is why music is where it is today. In a mess. He does cheat himself out of money, but he makes money without it. He WORKS for his money... imagine that. He has thrown a scam here and there, but he is a MUCH better performer (worker) than a scammer (producer, manager, salesman... anyone who profits off the title of another). Prince knows the value of his name, or at least he has a perception of that value, maybe even a delusion, and I bet the bottom line was the game creaters did not offer him exclusive control and more money on top of that. We are all so full of here
