Prince in Muzik Magazine UK Finally a decent piece of journalism on P in the UK! Muzik magazine this month has run articles on key figures in music who have had an influence on dance music in some shape or from. One of which is Prince, the other two being Kraftwerk and Madonna.
From my own memory of the article, dance band Basement Jaxx, describe Prince as being 'way ahead of his time' and asks why he needs to better himself when no one else has. The magazine also comes with a free CD featuring 2 covers of Prince songs by dance bands. One being, 'I Would die 4 U' by Space Cowboys, which charted in the UK in the summer. The 2nd being a remix/cover of 'Dirty Mind' by a UK act called Bent. This being exclusive 2 the Magazine's CD. Bent add that Little Red Corvette and Raspberry Beret were too prefect 2 cover! The magazine is on sale priced £3.25...I think.

Well, as least we got a bit of detail about it here, langebleu!!
The article also says that when you consider everything that Prince has acheived, even if you only consider what he did in the 80's, then it is ludicrous to criticise what he is doing in his forties! They say, quite simply, that nobody has surpassed him. ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

Some of us don't have the time to trawl through the yards of threads and it's better to have been told twice than not at all.
