I love it. Very very flawed in a cringeworthy 90's kind of way, but definitely the best 90's album. I could never understand the love for the cornball gold experience.

Great Album!! The mixture of styles is just what makes P the master of his craft. The Space(Universal Love Remix) is so on point and perfect, I truly believe that it defines the word "LoveSexy". Absolutely, shows P's ability to get in your soul.

yes, Come is a beautiful album, I agree. 9.5 out of 10.

If only Lovesign had been on it. And maybe Interactive.

I really enjoy the "Come" album, each song has got a special way and style in order to bring me into another space..
I guess and that makes the richness of the album.
The album is sensual and warm, it rocks and waves, it hurts and caresses in addition to waves's sounds on a beach: Just as making Love.
If I was Prince, I would have called it " Invitation to a Love Journey..", as "Invitation au Voyage" from Baudelaire
I wish I had some live versions where Prince rearranges his notes for Pure Pleasure

With the exception of "Space", I think that this is the worst album that he has ever done...

Come is far better, you should give the album some more listenings,

I remember someone once saying, when asked what Prince stuff they loved the most from the 80's, "Everything from 1979-1993, except the end of 'Temptation'." hahaha

There was even a thread about editing Prince songs for your own use (like the examples I brought up). Interesting read.

A deliberate artistic compromise on Prince's part to make the Gold Experience shine by comparison.

It was the first Prince album ever that I didn't like after 3 spins (except his debut album).

Today I like it enough I guess--but that's because his output in general during the first decade of this century has been so lackluster in comparison.

Come is a ok/good album album, but not a great one. It suffered from being
pared down for release. Personally I preferred it when the Come and Gold
tracks were mixed up a little (they were mostly recorded at the same time
anyway). In the end, 'Come' ended up featuring the more minimal solo tracks
and The Gold Experience featured the more band orientated tracks. For me,
the tracks come alive more when they're juxtaposed against each other,
rather than existing in their own separate worlds.
