Cornflakes with John Lennon..and Prince In his new book Breakfast with John Lennon, LA Times music critic Robert Hilburn
devotes 2 or so pages to his interviews with Michael Jackson, and Prince. According to Hilburn, Michael was very aware of Prince *(i know this isn't necessarily new news, but the details are interesting). Michael was happy that the Purple Rain soundtrack dropped out of the number one spot after 27 weeks, so that Thriller kept the record. Hilburn also talks about how Prince went to a Michael Jackson concert, kept in the wings and left before the show was over, and the two stars never spoke to each other Lastly, Hilburn talks about his one interview with Prince, and how shy Prince was. It's not a bad read, but alot is devoted to Bruce, and Dylan | |
