Untrue and dismissive, to a point. We do know truths about Prince, based on his own statements, or from those around him like Wendy, Lisa, Matt Fink, Sheila E., Michael B., or whoever. But the truth of his height or weight are things that are irrelevant. There are bigger issues he'd have to (and should be made to) face.

Prince knowing where he stands isn't the issue at hand though. In fact, it lends to why he won't come here. The truth I speak of is the truth of his pointless lawsuits against his fans.
-There is truth in bad - if not non-existent, customer service and follow up to the pay-for services he's tried to put forth on the internet. (There's even a sticky for LotusFlow3r.com customer issues in hopes that someone over there sees it and tries to correct it, but money says it'll never happen, here http://prince.org/msg/13/324961 and another here http://prince.org/msg/13/324962).
-There's truth in his lack of creativity and quality in his work at times, yet gets pissy when people trade it instead of buy it.
-There's truth in his utterly ridiculous strong hold on dumb things like his videos on YouTube (case in point: the mother or father who video taped their kid dancing to Prince music, or the video of a person in a cab while "Let's Go Crazy" happened to be on in the background, and Prince had it removed).
-There's truth in being that these videos are NOT, in any form or fashion even in bizarro world, taking money out of his pocket, or depriving him of any sort of royalty or payment. Yet he'll go and bully every single user, and owner, on YouTube, to try and get his stuff off YouTube.
There's truth in the fact that we've never seen an artist try so hard to NOT be seen and freely promoted among his fanbase and the public at large. Yet we know there are a dozen other video sites, and file trading areas, to find those videos.
-There's truth in why he won't release other videos, or older material, yet will bitch about YouTube and file trading, when he won't give the fans what they want, instead trading off for a fucking Bria Valente CD.

THOSE are some of the truths he'd stand to face. However, Boris is right. There's a lot of disrespect for him on here, and he sees that as well. Criticism vs. disrespect is a fine line. And it's been crossed in both directions plenty.

Then you have those crazies, like Boris mentioned, that think Prince is their lover as soon as he'd set eyes on them, or that they're meant to be together, or that they have some cosmic connection because they identify with a few of his songs, etc etc. (And we know who those people are, so let's not name names.)

As far as those who post crap and true lies, as you mentioned earlier, are pretty easy to figure out, and we all ignore them. The mods are good at shutting that shiz down.

Prince, in his more promiscuous years

LOS ANGELES - USA - Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman are said to be furious at Prince's support of California's Proposition 8, and his statement against gays and lesbians.



It hasn't been a good week for Prince.

First he injured his leg while working on a new video and was unable to perform his door to door duties as a Jevohah's Witness, and then he upset Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman so much that neither one will speak to him now.

This is not good news for Prince's fans, who have all been clamouring for a reunion with The Revolution and who have been excited about rumours that Prince and The Revolution were set to reform and tour America next Summer.

What did Prince do to upset Wendy and Lisa so much?

While negotiations were underway to reform Prince and The Revolution, Prince was asked if he supported California's Proposition 8 to amend the state Constitution to restrict marriages to unions between men and women only.

Prince, in his characteristically enigmatic way, stated for the record: "It's probably not my place to say anything about this, but I do

believe that in God's plan only a man and a woman should marry."

This may sound like a surprising view coming from a man who wrote lesbian antics into many of his songs, most notably the beginning of song Computer Blue off of Purple Rain. But Prince has changed his ways after he was introduced to fellow Jehovah's Witness Larry Graham and now won't even swear in his music, let alone write songs about steamy sex sessions in bathtubs.

We caught up with Wendy Melvoin, who was shopping at Whole Foods in Santa Monica, and asked her what she thought of Prince's comment.

"Man, sometimes Prince really makes my blood boil. First he refused to use Lisa's and my song -- which ended up being one of his biggest hits, I might add -- and now he's insulting gays and lesbians. If Prince really thinks that gays are so bad, then perhaps he should consider accepting no further revenue from his earlier music which has plenty of depictions of lesbians in them."

The question on everybody's mind, not least The Daily Squib's, was whether the Prince and The Revolution reunion was still on, despite Prince's unfortunate slip of the tongue.

"Hell no!" Wendy stated forcefully. "Until he calls Lisa and I up and apologizes to us personally we don't want anything to do with his projects again."

Messageboards debating the fate of Prince and The Revolution have been going crazy with fans trying to figure out what's going on, but The Daily Squib thinks it's safe to say that there won't be a reunion anytime soon.

And that, in a nutshell, is why Prince is having such a very bad week.


You know and I know People can take things out of context. I think it is two
sides to ever story. We are only hearing one.. I think Prince should not look at the internet. Reports,lawyers, just out of context. (Especially that story)
