I know I'm almost alone on this, but I really like the album version and the performance of it during the movie. boxed

Are you referring to the ORIGINAL demo of the song from 1981, or the demo of the Graffiti Bridge version?

The '81 version may as well be a different song lol.

But agreed, both versions kill what was released.

Yeah, the demo is far superior. This one always reminds me of how the original version of Around the World in a Day sounds way better than the released version

I like 'em both, but the 81 version is kickin'. I also really like the GB rough mix since it's mostly just the vocals and that incredible beat.

Both.

Controvery outtake because it FITS that era perfectly.

The Graffiti Bridge version because it was fucking badass as well. Plus Prince was full on mojo electric in the movie performance.

I like them both, they are way different. But the newer version has the edge for me because the combination of the busby berky type musical vocals with the crazy organic scratching noises and odd synth horns sounds original and completely one of kind Prince. The old one is very clear and in your face, but not as deep for me sonically... a bit less intriguing.

Yeah the demo of Tick Tick Bang is HAWT, but you gotta remember that sound wasnt hot anymore in 1990 and no one wanted to hear that new wave ish, that's like trying to go back to Gangsta Rap of 1994 today..it just wont do. Now and days the new wave funk type electronic music is back so it would be acceptible and cool again....that's why No More Candy 4 U fits so well today. Think of how much he can spruce up this track with better drums and vocals now.

Album plays and love for vinyl records.
