Since Prince has been known to do covers, has he ever did a P/Funk song?

Of the times I have recordings of him doing covers, I wonder why I never seen him do a P/Funk cover.

Matter of fact what would be the Coldest guitar driven P/Funk song he should cover?

For all you old heads like myself; I would choose "Quickie" because those guitars are SINGING in that Mug!!! Knee Deep has a nice solo also. Any other good ones?

Prince performed Maggot Brain at his 3121 Las Vegas residency at least couple of times. F'n awesome.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Wow never knew this. Thanks. I was at an O2 aftershow when they did One Nation Under A Groove, leading on from Kylie Minogue's 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' Awesome energy.

Also agreed, Knee Deep would be a perfect live tune for Prince.

Cookie Jar was by Fuzzy Haskins... Fuzzy being one of the founder members of Funkadelic.

If I remember right, don't they also sing 'If you hear any noise it's just me and the boys' from The Mothership Connection in the 'Soulpsychedelicide' jam?

On August 3rd 2007 at the O2 in London Shelby started off with Crazy by Gnarls Barkley that with Prince warped in One Nation under a Groove by Funkadelic and the two tunes blended so well together.
Awesome stuff altogether!

One Nation Under Groove, Word! Glad to hear you dig the Knee Deep choice. Have you ever heard the guitars in Quickie?
