Over the decades, I've watched Prince and the Revolution Live and Sign O the Times so many times it's almost embarrassing. And my favorite parts of those films, respectively, have always been I Would Die 4 U/Baby I'm a Star and It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night.

And while these concert films offer several glimpses at the audience, and often make me wonder if any of those people would remain fans to this day, a couple people have always stood out, for various reasons.

Let's start with these two. First, the kid is so damn annoying, and if you've watched the video, you know what I'm talking about. He's just there, annoying everyone, for a really long time. And then there's the woman. I love the look she gives the kid, like, What the hell are you doing here? Plus, I just love the way she's dressed. Seeing them both makes me wonder if, 25 years later, they still get into Prince and enjoy being captured on film for posterity.



Then there's this woman. The woman in yellow at the front. I love her. She looks as though she's in pure ecstasy. Her joy seems to mimic the excitement that's going on onstage. I love her reaction and have always thought that it seems so spontaneous that it had to be real. I'd be curious to know if she's still enjoying Prince that much.

One would hope so as they seem to have been having such a good time then.
In some of my concert dvds there are some special audience members that I particularly look out for, because their enjoyment is so apparent and they're so lost in the moment, it's an added bonus sharing it. over and over again.

I believe that "kid" (Lil Dominic, part of the security iirc) passsed away some time ago.

The girl in the glasses looks like the girl from the ONA dvd-the one with the oversized sweat with P's face on it-she dances behind him on stage.....

Those were all Minneapolis people there, so no doubt they were enjoying Prince as much as anyone else. I always LOVED seeing that girl in the video. She's in it a couple of times.

There's also a black couple, the guy is wearing a white tank top and puts his arm around his girl, either during "Forever In My Life" or another song.

In all my time here in the org I honestly feel this is one of the best damn threads ever!!!![u] I have never stopped to think about it but I would guess the lady in the yellow yes!! I mean let's face it people go to see Prince even when they don't purchase his cd's. I think that what Musicology was all about. Reconnecting people to the fact he could still write good pop music.

or the girl in Lovesexy Dortmund-at the very end of the cross-she looks sooooo thrilled like she's about to cry

I often wonder about the girl looks really bored during "Purple rain" at First Ave August 83.

I want to post a gif on a actual fans from a prince mobie or video (i think there is one in Purple Rain and in SOTT film.)

I almost choked when i first saw the guy smoking in the Purple Rain video, i thought it was my brother...
