I love the piano & trumpet on this track.

hmmm. not sure. He's got so many. Love it 4 sure but Adore still gives me goosebumps when I hear it

it's a toss up with "Adore." & "When 2 R In Love". Yes. He does have a lot of good ones.

I love everything about this song, one of my faves. Had the pleasure of seeing him sing it live in Montreux AMAZING.

Funny you should bring this up. Yesterday, I arrived at a university for a 4 hour workshop of 20 law students. But, the material (a medium sized particpant pack full of exercises to apply what I was to teach them) had been incorrectly delivered and they therefore had NO material. I got an instant headache and went on to automatic pilot in the first 15 minutes thinking about how I was going to improvise.

Therafter, in the heavy traffic on the way home, the first song that came up on my shuffle was "Somewhere here on earth" and I can't tell you how it sooooothed me. All my tension just started dissipitating and it was like being re-born...It was just what I needed! It's like a mental massage this song.

i dont know about his best but it is nice though

i like it, but i wouldn't call it his best ballad. But it's definitely a nice song for sure

Best is going to depend on personal preference and not many "orgers" are feeling the newer releases (according to the posts). That being said it is definitely one of my favorites from the latter years.

I immediately thought of "Adore" like so many others, but IMO I'd have to go with "Insatiable" or "The Scandalous Sex Suite", that version gives you time to "do some thangs".

Definitely Up there as one of the best. Love it.

It's definetely nice and all that, but NOT, by far, one of his best ballads. It just can't reach a "classic" status yet.

"Insatiable" is my #1, but SHOE is certainly among my favorites. It was the one saving grace of Planet Earth for me.

It's among my favourites too. I absolutely love his voice at the end of the song.

It is one of his best vocal efforts ever on record! Everybody should hear it, so all people know what a great singer he is.

b-side to Guitar, just ok, about 6/10 imo.

definately not among his best ballads.

the weather today was so miraculous for this time of year , I sat outside and thought how a beautiful to have a world where Prince's music can bring so much warmth and joy to so many beautiful good hearted loving people and even if ppl disagree we all still have a marvelous musical icon in common I just get worked up when this song is mentioned sorry
