Larry G - former bassist for Sly and the Family Stone...widely known as the inventor of the 'slap bass technique'..very funky!! Also he has a deep ass voice, which is almost what you hear on Prince's homage to his new found religiousness 'the rainbow children' (if you don't mind the religiousness of that cd - it is great!! (I love it)

Time - well when Prince started to get 'old' he decided that time no longer existed - it was man made and therefore should not be trusted LOL...not a bad ideal - in an ideal world...but some of us have to work and pay the bills

Orgasm song....originally the Come album was made with a track called 'Poem' on it...but Prince decided to split the 'poem' up and spread it across the whole album as segues...Orgasm is just the guitar part between Private Joy and Ronnie Talk to Russia..or is it before Lets Work..can't remember now LOL - but its on the Controversy album mixed with a bit out of the Vanity 6 out-take 'Vibrator' (which is one of my favourite outtake tracks - funny as hell, Prince using the 'jamie starr/morris day voice, cracks me up everytime)

Does he like his old stuff - I'm sure he does....he plays the old stuff more than his new stuff now days LOL....see lyrics of 'Don't Play Me' (...my only competition is, well, me in the past)

Change his religion.....his mother was a JW, seemingly before she died she commented that her wish was for Prince to follow her religion...I don't know if this is true or not, so don't shoot the messenger...but well, after the tragic death of Prince and Mayte's child in the mid-90's Prince hooked up with Larry G and the rest is history...a lot of people go through things when something like that happens...Prince is no different...I don't 'blame' Larry for the 'conversion'...Prince is his own man and don't play by anyone else's rules...I do however feel sorry for Prince/Mayte's marriage...seemingly Prince gave Mayte an ultimatum to convert to JW too..which she didn't...how much Larry G had to do with that I don't know, although I doubt he would have masterminded something like that....there's 2 sides to every marriage, more often than not both parties are in the wrong!!

remember though - I've only 'heard' about this - I think ultimately only Prince & Mayte could give the 100% correct answer on this...although, given Prince's history of controlling everything in his life, including his women....people that don't comply either walk the plank or are given their marching orders...

I heard recently that Prince had P.I.'s watching Mayte around 1999.....they were living in different countries by then - Prince in MPLS, Mayte in Spain....(hence Madrid to Chicago song)....they supposedly had an 'open marriage' according to one of Mayte's friends but maybe it wasn't so open....all hearsay BTW...but does show another possibility why Prince/Mayte split not long after....and possibly that it wasn't religion at all...

at the end of the day its all water under the bridge,,,,live and learn and move on...Mayte and Prince met up again when Prince was doing his 3121 show in Las Vegas....seemingly their was no friction which IMHO is classy for both of them considering all they went through...
