for the most part i agree with mozfonky to be honest prince almost lost me as a fan when I heard all of the horrible stories of how he screwed people over and his nasty attitude towards his associates and fans in general and in my belief system we dont treat other people like that we just believe in treating others nicely with respect and honor  i like princes music but him as a person i dont like purple kool aid drinking fams deleud themselves to thinking that their hero is perfect and cant do anything wrong and you cant say anything about him the fams would make an excuse for anything he does no matter how bizarre or just plain wrong it is

HATE is a very negative energy! On the other hand Prince, is a grown man who knows right from wrong! No matter how many people kiss his ass this doesn't give him the right to be rude, distrespectful, nasty , mean, shitty, and unappreciative of his fans! But like the old saying goes YOU GET WHAT YOU PUT OUT! This is karma coming back @ Prince! Fans around the world has showed him nothing but LOVE and he spits in their face! But as everyone can see fans are getting tried of his hollywood attitude! The sells of his records show that! Not to mention his songs are not that good anymore that's why he loses interest so quickly with each CD! Like it's been said GOD works in mysterious ways and Prince, better get that clue! You are fading no matter how much the media pumps you up! The music and the fans speak louder than words! I was a Prince fan who admired his music a great deal but now I really don't care to here it anymore especially when he writes negative songs about people he doesn't know and have never met! So if this is what being a Jehovah Witness, is I know GOD can't possibly be a part of it. GOD doesn't treat people DISRESPECTFULLY like Prince does!!!!! I've decided not to listen to his music ever again and I'm not coming to any of the web site promoting him! I'M NO LONGER A PRINCE FAN & I DON"T EVER WANT TO MEET HIM! I"LL PRAY FOR HIM HE NEEDS IT BADLY and I suggest that his fans pray for him to! SO SAD!!!!!

When I say "Hate" of course I'm not speaking literally, as some of you guys think, I'm displaying my mixed emotions more than anything. It's bad to have so many people speak ill, and wish ill on you. I've had many people in my life, and I'm blessed to say, most of them like me and feel badly when things don't go my way, with Prince or any bastard, people cheer when they fall. My best-friend said, not vindictively but matter of factly when P's child was born the way it was, "he's paying for all that now". Who knows if there is such a thing as karma, but P has had some tough breaks in life too, and who knows what the future holds. I certainly want to see him do well, but I also want to see him be a decent human being too. | |

Mozfonky, it is easy to get caught up reading the "biographies" of Prince that were written by people who claim to have inside knowledge of Prince's life. I would say to you: don't believe EVERYTHING you read about him. Nobody is perfect, and I am sure that he isn't the only celebrity that has burned bridges to get to where he is but that does not make him a hateful person (unless you tend to believe everything people say about him). Unless you have personal knowledge of all these alleged things that Prince has done, I wouldn't believe a lot of it. That's my 2 cents.  | |

What I don't understand is WHY do people have to come on his fansite to hate on him? Seriously, is there something missing in their lives? Are they really than disillusioned by life itself. Is life really that bad for them?

I think that the people who throw hate on the people they perceive as hating on Prince will also get back the hate they show to others. I will never understand how people have to be thought of as deadbeats or losers because they post dissenting opinions. Does this hate also apply to the same people who heap negative comments on celebrities other than Prince? | |

I'm often amused how we treat celebrity in this country, it's like they're gods or something, you know they don't need any more adulation, in fact, they usually don't want anymore. I actually thought he was a decent, spiritual man. I also read your rants about him being a junkie sex addict. Im confused.

I don't think you really hate Prince. Would I be correct if I said you hate some of the inconsiderate and mean things Prince has done to his fans, friends, employees, etc.? I see this thread as you expressing your feelings at the moment about Prince. Positive and negative because you did make another all too common thread expressing your LOVE for Prince. It got locked because the Mod's feel expressing hate for Prince makes for better discussion. People come to the org to discuss his music and everything else about him. Prince would probably laugh at you. Hate is a strong word and if he's really trying to piss off his fans, you sure showed he succeeded.  From my observation Prince sees nothing wrong with discussion, gossip and "all the people on the internet" talking about him. He apparently likes Dr. Funkenberry's site. Don't worry moz, someone is looking at Prince too so don't bother yourself having hate for him. | |
