I like the part where the Kid plays a sample for Appollonia in his room and it's pure moaning, and he says the lady on the tape is crying backwards. She's crying alright!

Who is the woman moaning/crying on the tape, anyone know? Apollonia asks 'Who's the lucky girl?' Maybe it is Apples we can hear. Apollonia only wears 2 colours throughout the movie - black and red. Sexy.

I've read that the woman moaning on the tape is Jill Jones. It's her saying "It's not alright. I don't wanna go to hell...I wanna go to heaven."

Some more PR outtakes include:

Apollonia grinning at someone (presumably Prince) on a sidewalk, Apollonia running down a dark alley, The Kid and Apollonia falling onto his bed, and Morris violently grabbing Apollonia from behind. When Prince is running under the white tent, it's him going into the rehearsal hall when A6 is rehearsing, to cause a scene.

The work-print tape has some shows in directors cut mode without the incidental music such as the "bar seduction " scene with Morris and Apples..no music just crowd-crew noise..and extended Lake Minnetonka scene with Appolonia saying "you were great last night and Prince saying "I just got lucky" etc...there are also scenes that shows Prince "terrorizing" Apollonia and Morris more than what was shown ..before he kicked Morris into the trash can etc...and the race between him and the train etc...

The Kid and Apollonia falling on the bed was an alternate scene of part where Apollonia brings in the guitar 2 The Kid as a surprise.

Morris grabbing Apollonia and she breaks free by hitting him in the nose. That was orginally happen after the love scene in the basement (that appears in the film). The was going 2 b sleep and Apollonia was going b sleep with him and wakes up being disturb hearing The Kid's parents fighting upstairs. She then leaves the basement/house while leaving Morris see her from his car and not long after that's when Morris was grabs her and and all.

If I recall The Kid running under the tent was part of the Apollonia 6's rehearsal altercation with members of The Time.

I remember seeing deleted scenes of the film back in 1984 when the movie was in theaters.

Yeah, if you've read the script all those outtakes fall into line. In the script, after Morris and Apollonia (Vanity in the script) are running on the side of The Kid's house, they get into his cab and he starts quoting the lyrics to The Time's "Chilli Sauce" to her.

I saw it in the theater in 1994 too. There were no scenes then that didn't make it onto the DVD. Maybe you were at a special screening.

Right, some of the stuff from the original script was used and filmed 4 the movie. I even heard that there is still 2 deleted music performances from First Avenue and one of them was of the unreleased cut 'Electric Intercource'.

Also, following the confrontation at the APP. 6 rehearsal, The Kid goes toe to toe with a damn TRAIN!!!!! A portion of the scene is included in the When Doves Cry montage. I wondered how Al Magnoli pulled off that scene. It would be great to see.
