Loved it. See, I've said it before that the live versions of songs are often better than an album version...even of songs I can't stand otherwise. Lord knows I'm not a fan of anything from MPLSound, but I really dug "Dance 4 Me" and "No More Candy 4 U" live. Definitely had a new vibe to it. Doesn't mean I'll be listening to the album anytime soon, but you get the idea.

It's like he's teasing everyone with the "All Day, All Night" chant. I hope he doesn't F it up, if he rerecords it. But it'd still be fun to have his version out. He could really funk it up just like he did on Jill's album.

Anyone get some "Revolution" reference from the background singers during "1999" ?

"Omg what a fantastic performance" lol

Indeed, it was a perfect and flawless performance. The band is tight and always on point. Much love 2 the background singers. Always loved the way Prince’s people dress. Ms. Shelby is the business. Love how the audience gave our man much love. Prince keeps getting better with time.

Thanks 2 all of u who provided the info 4 us 2 see this great mini concert.
As many have said, so glad 2 hear Prince play some of his latest music. Every song was tight, funky and flawless.

Thank u Prince hug

"Las Vegas" is the band que for a big end to the song. The assumption being that it's flashy like a Vegas act.

Think I heard the words "revolution" and "substitution" in there, which could be quite hilarious. Need to hear it again to be sure.
"What kind of fuck ending is that?"

For crying out loud, "Vegas" is a MUSICAL CUE. One he's been using for 20+ years. No wonder you guys like this new crap, you've never heard the good stuff.

I think in all the excitement people missed an earlier post of mine regarding this performance and I am still curious.

Am I right in thinking that the Canal+ performance was the first ever performance by Prince broadcast live on the web?
